WOW! Two female lead vocalists. Two male lead vocalists. Each with a great voice, unique personality and strong stage presence. Creative stage design with effective gothic lighting and props (candelabras, wrought iron fence, dark atmosphere.) Belly Dancing. And mind-numbingly creative and powerful gothic, symphonic, metallic music!!

This DVD has got to be one of the top concert videos of 2008, and of all time. The sonic quality of the music recording is astounding: you can clearly hear each instrument and each vocalist, with lucidity and precision. The energy the band exudes is infectious. This is one of those rare C.D.s that without fail allows me to get to a deep meditational state rather quickly. I first heard it in Reiki I and II class when the teacher was playing it extensively throughout the class. I've listened to new age-type music for decades and have quite a collection but this one "grabbed me" (as did the Jonathan Goldman/Gregg Braden title "The Divine Name" for the same reason). "Holy Harmony" can also be played in the background for other activities also to create a spiritual background sound ambience. A very sacred, Cathedral-sounding mantra (with tuning forks in the background)that cuts to the soul.

I became a L.M. fan years ago. The first time I heard her haunting voice I was instantly hooked. This wasn't the first CD I bought of hers, but it has to be my very favorite. I never grow tired of it and while I listen, her calming voice and soothing music take me to a far off place...a relaxing place that is nowadays, so rare. She has the ability to lift my spirits instantly. I love all of Loreena's music and I will be a fan of hers for life.

This is what we have come to expect from Jason Spaceman: awe-inspiring melodies, majestic in their pathos, their simplicity.

As good as any of their records (i have them all), if not better.

Don't listen to anyone who slags off the lyrics--who cares about lyrics in pop songs, anyway? If you want poetry, read Eliot or Shelley or Wallace Stevens, or Dylan, for heaven's sakes.

Plaintive, heartbreaking, ambitious in a sort of safe way, cathartic, lovely--as good as THE BLACK WATCH's masterpiece, released early this past summer.

If you like Radiohead, The Verve (ick!), or Flaming Lips--you will adore the new Spiritualized.

I often have "Soundscapes" on during the day, but do not leave on the TV monitor, as I cannot always see it. However, when I do hear a song that grabs my attention, I will walk over and turn on the monitor to see the name and the artist of the song. Many times over the last months, I would see that the song was by Ludovico Einaudi, so many times, in fact, that I eventually bought this album. What a great decision that was! I own hundreds of New Age or instrumental CDs by great artists, but this is superlative music. There are no weak or throw-away cuts here, just powerful, emotional sounds that will grab your heart and not let go.
