My grandson does not just fall asleep when I'm watching him. He is either teething or just plain fussy at times. I had just bought Enya's Paint the Sky with Stars and decided to play it for him. It instantly calms him down as he really pays attention to the music. In a very short time, he is peacefully sleeping. I've tried other music, including classical. It just does not relax him. I absolutely love her music! When I'm trying to do homework, I used to listen to classical music because there were no words to interfere with my concentration. When I listen to Enya, I don't have that problem. I'm totaly focused and able to accomplish a lot!

This is just an excellent piece of work . . . and it's FUN! The creativity that is depicted here can only be described as, although I imagine pain stakingly labor intensive to make, this is one FUN album.

Energetic, creative and talent driven, you might want to pick this one up!

"The Perfect Boy" is another really good one. I can hear a bit of "Strange Attraction" and "Mint Car" in this one and that's cool because those were among my favorites from Wild Mood Swings. Also hear a bit of "alt.end" in there on second listen. Sorry, I've listened to them so much the last 20 years I can't help but hear things that remind me of other songs I like. The b-side "Without You" is one of their best strummy, ballad-type songs. Robert really knocks it out of the park with some great soaring vocals. If you've ever severed any ties with any person, group, or institution this one strikes a chord. Very good LP.
Each song seems to be a character, along with a great storyline.
Bocelli's vocals are perfection, as usual, and wrapped within the walls of the other instruments, this LP is a perfect thing.
It is NOT necessary to understand the lyrics, the delivery does more than speak to you: It creates a mood that reflects the very love that went into the creation of this LP.
Great job and money well spent.
This LP will effect you on a visceral level, it is pure mood.

I was so disappointed with Journey. It had completely lost touch with what made the earlier Celtic Woman so attractive to me. The individual voices of each of the performers were really lost in this production. Between the background singer and the orchestra, it really destroyed the very thing that made them so attractive to me. So very sad.

something has been off for me with stereolab since marys death. i dont know why. i didnt know her, so it wasnt anything on a personal level. it was a certain charm, maybe?
after listening to this album multiple times, i do believe that the charm is back, there are still cerebral, challenging songs here, yes, but they are crisp, tight, short and amazing. yes, amazing. this is by FAR the most enjoyable stereolab release in years.
the strings, the hooks (all songs have at least one), the amazing sound, its all here. its all sterolab. this is a great album. i have been a fan for over a decade, and i do believe that this is the cd that i would recommend to beginners, and in time, might fall into my top choice myself. thanks, guys. love the cd.
