I have always loved The Verve. They're one of my all-time top 3 favorite bands. I've heard everything of theirs that I could get my hands on over the past 15 years or so. On their earliest singles, their The Verve EP, No Come Down, A Storm in Heaven, and A Northern Soul, The Verve are the perfect blend of heavy-mellow beauty with just the right amount of danger. On epic tracks like "Feel" they could simultaneously lull you into bliss and scare you into a cold sweat. To me The Verve was one of the best bands America ever almost missed. By the time Urban Hymns came out The Verve was so big in Europe that radio stations here had to pay attention. Ok I bought this cd for Somewhere over the Rainbow. It is the only tune I like on the album so I didnt want to give it 1 star. But if i rated by # of songs I actually listen to it would have gotten only a 1.

But somewhere over the rainbow is one of the best tunes I think I have ever heard. I love it.

Celtic Thunder - I watched in on PBS and fell in love with the music and the performance. Some people say that this is not the original group, I don't know and I don't care. I like it so much that I ordered both, the DVD and CD and play it very often - in my car and at home.

I love French music and I love this CD, because it is sung in French, but more than that, I truly enjoy Carla Bruni's voice. As I listen, I just smile. Truly what I was hoping for and got.

have a couple cassette tapes of cheap studio time-love the earthiness of his sound. you can hear the steel drums and the rushing of the dunns river falls in his music. this cd is too cleaned up. no rasta here, mon. guess i need to find his older stuff for the sound i crave.

Things sometimes get put off for a reason. Lack of interest, better things to do, or just plain not worth the time or effort. This seems to be the result here. I will always support anything Peter Gabriel touches and my wife is an even bigger fan (she didn't like it either), but this pushes the bounds even for me. It is such a hodgepodge of varying styles that no flow is given to the work as a whole. There are maybe 2 or 3 tracks even worth a listen, Peter's and the haunting track by Sinead. Spend your money elsewhere.

Thank you guys, this is the album I was waiting for after "Inferno". Pretty damn solid all the way through. A big improvement to "Kiss of Death". Phil Campbell's guitar sound is thunderous, Lemmy is as usual the voice of rock n' roll, and Mickey Dee as always...a great drummer. It's $^%**&*@ Motorhead!!!!

This is an awesome CD!!! Is there a live recording of this album? Some of the songs sound like they are cut off @ the end. This is one of the best worship cd's i've ever heard.
