I Bought this for my 18 year old Autistic son. He loves music. Sometimes he gets wound up so I thought this would be good to help him unwind at night before he goes to bed. He seems to like it a lot. I know I do. It is good to add the classics to our collection.

Having heard many performances of the S/S concertos, both singly and in sets -- and finding something to gripe about in each of them, except perhaps the old Entremont/Ormandy readings on Sony/Columbia -- I have to say this one is far and away the best. The details are right, there aren't any klunky edits, the sense of line and balance is point-perfect. More importantly, they're thrilling. Fast, yes, but always clean and accurate and rhythmically precise, orchestra and soloist alike.

I seriously could not want for a better recording of these pieces. They rock.

Mozart's Magnificent Voyage

A friend of mine got this for her son about 3 years ago and he's still listening to the stories. Its calming and interesting. Its great in the car. The story goes along with the movements of the piece and really brings classical music and a great story to children. I now get this for all my friends with babies and small children.

All those famous pianists nowadays must listen to these incredibly sublime recordings of Beethoven concetos played by Leon Fleisher, and better re-think what it means to play music.

The lavinshing richness of the tones he produces is beyond description not to mention the technical brilliance. The slow movement of Emperor Concerto, for example, has almost other-worldly beauty, and you forget everything else. Since I came to know this pianist through the stunning Brahms Concerti recording, I've been struck again and again by his amazing ability to breathe life into music.
