Even thou I am not a homeowner at this time, watching Mike is so helpful being aware what is needed to do, to "make it right" He is a caring man who helped out people with all kings of home problems from doing add-ons and re making a place that he knows the owner will just flip over,
"Holmes for the Holidays" is the best of this season, the first and 2nd seasons had mainly all 30 minute episodes ( about 22 minutes with the ads taken out) Holmes for the holidays was an hour show ( 44 minutes without ads) where in two months time he takes this home that could have fallen down, and completely re-builds in time for the holidays.

The classes are good, but the DVD format is bad.

Once you are in a section, you cannot go to another. For instance, while doing a project, I could not go through a menu to a lesson to refresh my memory. I was very disappointed, because in order to see the main menu I had to remove the CD and start from the beginning to see all the chapters.

I bought the "The Complete Beginner's Guide to Knitting," by Nici McNally, at the same time as I bought "I Can't Believe I'm Crocheting," and the difference between the two DVDs is like night and day. Navigating in the knitting video is a breeze, while navigating in the crocheting video is very time-consuming.

While I have to admit that I lean more to the smooth dances, this had some very hot rhythm numbers. Not as many waltz and foxtrots as the first Burn the Floor, still will keep you entertained. First class dancers and great photography.

Aptly named, Maiden Voyage features tracks that are nearly ideal for beginning jazz improvisers. The chord changes are not overly quick, nor are the tempi on the tunes. Like most of the packages that Jamey Aebersold has put together over the years, Maiden Voyage works best for players of melodic instruments (flute, trumpet, saxophone, trombone, guitar, etc.). This is useful for guitarists and pianists who want to practice their comping, as it is for bass players. The only problem with using the basic version of any of Aebersold's book/CD packages for comping or working out bass lines is that there is no soloist to react to. I am an intermediate irish dancer and i bought this video to help me practice, because i get bored practicing by myself. It was a fun workout, and I appreciated that there was core work and stretching to round it out. However, I was lost on a lot of the advanced hardshoe work that was not clearly explained. I definitely would not recommend this video for someone with little or no irish dance experience. The video teaches no dances, just a lot of drills. This is perfect for me, but for people who don't go to an actual irish dance class, it wouldn't really teach much actual dancing.

I thought kindergarteners might look on this series with disdain, but my class loved it and everyone knew to tell time by the end of the year! Even the first and second graders that I tutored after school got into it. Wendy covers all the basics in an organized fashion, but with a highly motivating story line and a fast pace.

My kindergarteners also enjoyed Munchkin Math Shapes, and LOVED trapping the Zoid with paper triangles! I'm teaching preschool next year, and have ordered the money dvd too. Congratulations, Wendy, on a winning series!
