This is tripe. Do you love Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Bruckner, Mahler, Debussy, Ravel, Prokofiev, Stravinsky, and Vaughan Williams? Well, you won't love this garbage. It is MUCH better to love the Beatles and Pink Floyd for what they honestly are. They are at least sincere and original art, in their sphere. This is a fraud on every level. It is properly used for backing tracks on bad movies and pop albums. It is music for callow youths who know nothing about aforementioned composers or music, but want to pretend they are "cerebral" and "deep". It is "classical" music for people who want to translate the machinations of the pop world into a score for a real paid orchestra. Mr. Holland's "Opus" rates as high. I'm sure orchestras love ... CD has a good selection of songs, particularly for a formal wedding; however the last 5 songs on my CD were garbled so I can't evaluate those.
Worth the money, and I would buy again (hoping that the entire CD was clear and easy to understand.

This is a wonderful CD to use to help you learn the pieces. These piano selections are not the "World's Favorites" for nothing - they are memorable and enjoyable for young and old alike. I love this CD.

Stated simply, this is the grandest cycle of Beethoven symphonies available.Don't let other reviewers make you think that the sound is terrible.It is not.I am very picky about what I listen to,and the minor imperfections in this set cannot come close to comparing with the positive aspects.This set has (in my opinion the best version of the 1st and 8th I have ever heard).I hope all that purchase this set get one tenth of the enjoyment out of it that I have.
