I had heard a portion of this at a noon time yoga class and thoroughly enjoyed it. I purchased the CD for my yoga teacher with whom I take class weekly. On one occasion he had played some classical type music during the practice. My friend Tom and I are classical buffs and the music that was played was a distraction as we both played guess that composer as well as anticipating chord and key changes and such. It did not help us focus on the moment and movement. "Path" was intersting but not a distraction and provided a good background that supported our yoga practice. I would be pleased to listen to it on other occasions as well but it was great for our class and every one enjoyed it.

This is an amazing album. Didn't take long to become an absolute favorite and is always nearby. It is so beautifully rhythmic and Lakshmi's voice is amazing. I'd love to see her in person. The title track "Ocean of Mercy" is truly inspiring. The other album that I've heard of hers "Jewel of Hari" is also a force in itself. I can't say enough...

In "Earth", Peter Kater has carried out a work full of symphonism and beauty. The album, which can be labelled as New Instrumental Music, also has Classical traits and some light touches of Latin Folk. The music is, on the whole, melodic, soft, and with clear romantic traits. Sometimes it becomes festive, and at other times melancholy. This is an excellent release that will surely be liked by a wide range of listeners.

I've been embraced by the devotional mood of kirtan for thirty years, and I have to say that Jaya Lakshmi is my favourite kirtan recording artist. I love her clear angelic yet strong voice. This latest CD - "Sublime" takes me on a mystical timeless journey within. When I close my eyes and listen I find myself being absorbed into the colourful swirls and sounds of the ancient sacred mantras. Enchanting melodies. Brilliant!! Thankyou Lakshmi for this sweet inspiration.

I teach yoga and meditation and use music for class. I really like Shamanic Dream 1 and 2, but this is bit high pitched and hissy. I think that it's meant to sound celestial, but I find it actually a bit agitating.
