I bought this for my Tai Chi instructor. I had a copy that I had taken to one of the classes, and the class enjoyed it. I especially like the drumming as it sets a cadence for the movements.

I am so glad I found this album! I have been looking for that perfect haling meditation sound for some time now and I've hit the jackpot with this one! The balance between nature sounds and musical instruments creates a warm and inviting atmosphere positive energy. I also recommend Chakra Healing Chants.

In my world, we do a lot of energy work without trying to fall into more popular trends within the New Age movement. Nawang Kechog, much like Nakai, exudes inspiration without having to force anything. He is already connected and channeling. This particular album can literally transport you to faraway lands whether you are on a massage table or in the bathtub. It is also the album that receives the greatest amount of comments from visitors. If you are looking for music 'from the source' that can 'take you away from it all,' this would be the album.

I was having one of those problems that caused me to wake up at 4:00 in the morning in total misery. I couldn't solve the problem and I couldn't go back to sleep...in desperation I put this CD on and actually found myself starting to feel a little happy as the music progressed, and ended up going to sleep and feeling peaceful. There's something about this CD that's very special.

The urban groove chants do have a certain cool feel to them and after giving them a few listens, I've grown to really like them for mood music or even freestyle dance. The chants that are set to either the ambient music or are alone are very beautiful (the chanter has a gorgeous, deeply spiritual voice and intones well) and can be used to chant along with or to simply listen as one enters a deep meditation. I really love the writings of Lama Surya Das (nee Jeffery Miller) who writes about Tibetan Buddhism for a mostly Western audience and presents it well and without unneeded dogma (Tibetan purists probably are horrified at his approach, but I think the last thing Westerners who are curious about Buddhism need when they're exploring this faith is to be loaded ... Great for yoga and/or meditation. The only thing I'd change is the talking on the last track--I find it's distracting. Otherwise, I'd rate it five stars. My classes love it.
