The original cords of the music are wonderfully relaxing and melodic. They are soothing and contemplative, but the whole track keeps repeating the same melodies and cords over and over and over again throughout the length of the cd. In my opinion, it would have been nice to have some different melodies and cords mixed in to the originals, which I thought there was when I sampled the cd online. The cd does have some "magical" qualities in the music that can take you to another place thought, if you can put up with the same melodies over and over again.

If you don't like the same music repeated over and over again for an hour, I would recommend NOT buying this cd.

As always, Thomas comes through with these great mantra CDs. This one is excellent again, though I do wish he would have gone into ALL the planets and what parts of the body they rule. It was all very interesting and my favorite of the mantras is the Apadamapa one. Thomas' CDs always have so much content, you really get your money's worth.

This is a direct quote from my 7 year old. I added CD this as well as "Pilgram Heart" to my wish list and was suprised when they both arrived in a box for my children. I have this in the cd alarm to awaken gradually to a peaceful, heartfelt morning. It's playing when I wake my daughter. At bedtime, I turned the cd on and my daughter looked peacefully up at me and proceded to tell me about her dream where a boy found a key, opened a door and then he and his family began to sing this song (Babu Hanuman) It was so beautiful. I asked her what was so beautiful and she replied his singing, It's so beautiful. It is.

Each of the track focuses in the energies of one animal, so if you are into shamanic travel, this record makes will help you. But it is also just as good as background music when you need to relax or as a warmup for some other kinds of dancing (like belly dance). The melodies are based on drum rythms, along with some subtle synthethiser that never gives the music that much hated "cheap New Age" feeling. A good buy!

I expected to hear music that would help me stay focused and concentrate while reading (as the other reviews state will happen) but I didn't notice much difference, and some of the titles were hard to listen to - annoying actually. Definitely not the resource I'd hoped it would be after reading the other reviews.

This compact disk is of mantras in the Hindu tradition. The singer has a beautiful voice and the whole disk is nicely produced. It will be of interest to those who are committed to the Hindu way of worship. To others it may seem repetitious. Whether listening to these will or will not raise consciousness is argumentive. However, to those who like the Hindu way, and follow it, any of Anandi's recordings are worth while. Her husband's deeper voice harmonizes well.

Beautiful restful music for relaxing. Many tracks should become classics - especially The Dawning and Ocean Without Shores. Terrific instrumental music too good to be in the background.
