This album is other worldly. I've loved this album for a long time and once i tripped HARD while listening to it. It was pretty intense (..totally bro...haha....ehem..). Moonlight Drive seemed to last for half an hour and the entire room moved to the beat/rhythm of the music but i'm sure most people don't care about such things...i digress. This is great psychedelic music (drugs or no drugs) and probably the weirdest Doors album.

As one of the reviewers mentioned the first song people recognize from Jimmy Eat World was the song The Middle. Well at least for me it was the first song I heard of them and since I really liked the song I purchased the cd of course. Of course The Middle is a really good song but the best song on the cd is the very first song Bleed American. The lyric from the song you can relate to with "I'm not crazy because I take the right pills, everday."

I know I'm bad when I buy a cd I don't like listening to a band over and over again because I like variety. Jimmy Eat World is a band that you can definitely listen to the whole cd of because hey provide that variety with an amazing sound and great lyrics.

They are Feisty, have a Zest for life and have blended different kinds of music into one big original sound. Their lyrics are not too shabby, not shabby at all. Have to say that I am very happy knowing this band and own two of their albums, this one and I forgot the name for the one they released after. Both very good purchases. They are original and that counts for a lot of my respect. When they get going is a brilliant display of talent. These guys are the real deal, worth every dollar. Highly entertaining and their message is one that screams: Enjoy Life, Enjoy Music and it will all work out for the better. 4 shinning stars for Gogol Bordello /Gypsy Punks Underdog World Strike! Hot Band!

This 2nd synth album follows the pattern of Low, the first one in the Eno trilogy, in its mix of short pop/rock songs plus moody instrumentals and semi-instrumentals. Somehow it lacks the trenchant edge of Low although the title track is truly spectacular in its powerful imagery and stirring melody - his voice sounds as human as on Word On A Wing (from Station to Station) over the wailing drone of the synths as it paints a scenario of lovers meeting beneath the Berlin wall. Truly breathtaking, this song was also released as a single in German and French versions in the 1970s. The melancholy Sons of the Silent Age has a spacey feel, beautiful lyrics and a ghostly chorus, while Blackout is harsh and discordant.
