This album has occasionally been referenced as "Led Zeppelin for the 1990's" and, truth be told, there is quite a Zep influence here (the middle-Eastern stylings, heavy guitar riffs, Cornell's extended Plant-esque wailing). But what sets this album apart from other Soundgarden offerings is the craftsmanship of the songs themselves. Thankfully, the usual "woe is me" lyrics are only present in one or two of the songs. Cornell keeps the lyrics lighter than usual and in perfect pitch during delivery. The result is a comparatively uplifting experience (one notably absent from any Pearl Jam album except "10"). Kim Thayall's diverse guitar playing finds a perfect outlet here - from the intense overdriven blues solos on the title track and Like ... Read More:

I think for the most part, this is a good compilation of Joan Jett's hits. A few minor complaints such as "I Hate Myself For Loving You" is an alternate version, but it is still good, in my opinion. I think overall this compilation is a good overview of JJ & TBH's work, through the years.

I wouldn't really rate this as a "true" live album as the symphony concept was a rare event, and not something that truly portrays the songs as you would here them if Metallica was touring today.
S&M came out when i was in high school. Being a band dork, this was a great fusion of something I was fairly familiar with (classical ensembles) and Metallica, something I was just starting to get a taste for (its hard to dive right in when they were coming off of crapfests like Load and Re-load!) For all their missteps in the studio, they still had a great live act and a real wealth of great material. This turned me on to metal in all its forms and potential.
The first three tracks, this start's out with Morricone's "Ecstasy of gold", ... Read More:

I first fell in love with Nirvana when I listened to In Utero, and Nevermind on cassette in my room. There are a lot of awesome songs on this album, i like the lyrics and i like the sound! and i just love nirvana, and always will.

This was my first Puddle of Mudd CD (and my first CD purchase is in quite awhile) but I liked the majority of the song clips I heard so I went with the CD instead of individual song downloads. I was not dissapointed with my decision to purchase the entire CD.
Release Date February 05, 2008
First of all, I own the VHS of Live After Death. They put on one heck of a monster show, one can not expect anything less of Iron Maiden. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the sound quality is something to be desired. But of course I do own the "original" release. I do not know what the soud quaility is of the CD version. But, all in all, this sould definatly be a part of any Maiden fan collection. UP THE IRONS!
Release Date April 29, 2008
Brutal! This album is amazing; I'd have given it 5 stars but the corny 9/11 lyrics on "The Evil has Landed" warrant a reduction. That aside, the album is flawless. Glad the boys are back in town.
Release Date September 17, 1991
Yep, the full five stars here and I'll tell you why;
One reason is that this work feels optimistic, even when it's addressing pretty dour issues, it's an expansive work by a band that worked hard with their production team and developed their sound further than they'd had the opportunity to on their debut. They sold a squillion of these things at the time and the way the album works on a number of levels is part of the reason why. One level is the pure molten metal songs like Don't Damn Me and Dead Horse and Garden of Eden which show that when the faux nastiness is left behind and a genuine feeling of unclean sneer is available then you will connect with people. It shows how metal can make you think and can at times open up some unpleasant internal cans of ... Read More:

Ann's voice is as strong as ever and Nancy still looks cute as she jumps up and down while strumming power chords! ;)
This is a great performance with strong picture quality and excellent sound quality. One of the bad things about the HD DVD - Blu Ray war was picking a side and having titles released exclusively in the format you didn't own. This was originally released on HD DVD and I was able to catch the show on HD Net. I knew that I'd add it to my collection once it was released on blu ray.
This has a good set list with a little Led Zeppelin thrown in too. This is a must for die hard Heart fans and for others who'd like to add a Heart concert disc to their collection.
