I am always loathe to place the classic label on anything, but I am going to pull it out here. For whatever reason, this is the only album from '90 to about 2003 that is in my play rotation. Most of my listening has evolved into 60's and 70's classics that predate myself. This is the one exception. An album full of great, rocking songs. "Sex Type Thing" is right up there with "Whole Lotta Love", "War Pigs", "Shoot to Thrill" and "Enter Sandman" as far as I am concerned for absolutely ROCKING songs. The rest of the album is filled with great, memorable tunes that have aged very well. Along with Led Zeppelin II, and Back In Black, my favorite hard albums!!!

Siamese Dream by Smashing Pumpkins really brought this indie rock band into the limelight. Frontman Billy Corgan has an unique voice and his songwriting is pure heart even when he sings about nothing profound. Songs like Today, Rocket, Maynnoise, and the song that got me hooked, Disarm (still one of my favorite songs of all-time). This is a great album from the early '90s and this cd was produced by Butch Vig who went on to form his own band, Garbage. Get this classic today!

Few will deny that The Who's "Tommy" remains one of the all time great classic rock albums. Although concept albums had been done before this one, "Tommy" was the first one to really catch a wave of public support and basically define just what a concept album was. There was nothing like this out there when "Tommy" was released in 1969 as The Who raised the bar for rock n roll creating a work of art instead of just an album full of songs. Of course this rock opera went on to inspire a film, all star staging's of the material, and a Broadway musical. "Tommy" is not the best concept album ever created in fact it is not even the best by The Who ("Quadrophenia" is better), but it has stood the test of time as a great musical composition and remains ... Indestructible Special Edition

This band goes from strength to strength. From the raw and energetic early works of Believe and Sickness the new album Indestructible delivers a very polished and powerful (and slightly darker)sound. The distinctive drumming of Mike Wengren is as prominent as ever and David Draiman's Vocals still command centre stage. The title track gives an explosive entry into the album and it never lets up from there. I'll be the first to admit no one song really stands out, but that is more from the album being such a complete compilation than any one song being better than the other. Worth every cent.... looking forward to seeing them live again (for the 2nd time) down under in a couple of months. Buy it!

Freddy Mercury is one of the most unique vocalist in rock history. I did not appreciate his greatness until watching professional bands and American Idols butcher his vocals. Too bad he was mated to such a bland guitarist in Brian May. This CD is a great showcase for a rock legend.

I was impressed with the first disc and disappointed with the second disc. Also, there were very few b-sides, but that's neither here nor there. I don't know, if Dave wanted to release some slow stuff then he should have released a solo album of content from the second disc. But like I said, first disc, hard-hitting, epic and a return to full form.
