I second most reviews about this famous and important live recording by Bowie & Spiders.

Just a note: Some Bowie talking between songs are cut out, compared to the Golden Years release some years ago. Compare for instance the intro to "Andy Warhol".

When I heard Fuel was interested in having Chris as their lead singer, I had to find out why. Now I know. The person who called Daughtry's album an amazing disappointment should write an album's worth of music and then we can hear if that's worth 4 or 5 million in sales figures. Please. Put your money where your mouth is and let's hear YOUR stuff. I've been a music collector practically my whole life, and I take any armchair critic's claim of someone not having any talent with many MANY grains of salt. Daughtry's managed to land an opening spot on a Bon Jovi tour, and you don't get THERE with no talent at all.

First off this is the only CD i play in my car. The double bass hits harder then the homies' next to me. 5FDP is an incredible fast/heavy/trash sound that everyone I turn on to, wants this CD. I play this so much at work I got this RAP only listening girl craving this band. Ivan Moody is an amazing front man, also in Ghost Machine(more singing), and formally Motograter(not so hard hitting). His voice goes from roaring insanity to sweet serenity. If into singing more get Ghost Machine, or a little heavier and still sings then get Motograter. BUT GET THIS NO MATTER WHAT. You will be doing the same thing I am now. Realesed in the summer of 1967 it demonstrates Cream's expirementing with acid rock. All 11 tracks on here are great and its good old fashioned 60s rock music. Some key tracks on here are, strange brew, SWALBLR, tales of brave ulysses, etc. It also has one of the first albums with the wah-wah pedal on it. All in all a great buy and you should buy it today along with all of the other great 1967 albums. here are some classic 60s albums that you should buy,

The musical aspects of Ænima and the ritual "file under exercise**" have already been well-covered in the other reviews here. I'll cover an angle that I have never before read about this CD.

When mixing a record, it is common practice to bring in recordings of other songs, sounds, or whatever to use as references and / or "ear-cleaners".

This CD has become (for me at least) a Golden-Standard. The sound on it is SO well-produced that it serves as landmark; it not only sets a standard against which other works are measured, it is also like a lighthouse for those mixing new works. It helps one maintain or regain one's bearings in frequency-space.

The "Born" CDs were what made the Boss' legend. Those were the ones you'd hear on the radio no end back in the day. I admit, I prefer "Born to Run" over "Born in the USA".

This is a great early day Bruce CD and I think still a must for any Boss fan. My favorites:

Anyway, musta been '71 or '72, I was 11 or 12, just some nerdy kid with big glasses and short hair living in an econo-apartment complex. The kool boy, cigarettes and harness boots, broken home and little supervision, was right down the hall. Bored occasionally, the dude would have me over, showing off with tough talk about "getting some" and playing the "bitchin'" solo from Grand Funk's "Inside Looking Out." One day, I brought over a record to hear, he was real skeptical, rolls eyes, but what so, here comes "Sympathy For The Devil" which, incomprehensibly, he never heard. Dude was working hard to look bored and hip but, splonk, by the time the guitar comes in, he's got this look on his face ~ stunned.
