I saw the incredible Murphy-Brock, Fowler, Duke, Underwood line-up in 1974. I feel especially fortunate. I saw Zappa Plays Zappa at the Dodge Theater in Phoenix AZ in May 2007 with guest Ray White. I can honestly tell you without reservation, from someone who owns every release from Freak Out! to Bongo Fury and the last two live sets (Jazz Noise and Never Heard In Your Life), that Dweezil Zappa's Zappa Plays Zappa is every bit as good as the real thing. Buy this and if you ever get a chance to see Dweezil's happy little family, For God's sake, GO!
Dweezil & Co. Thank you for giving the spirit of Frank Zappa back to us!

When I first heard of Metallica I saw mixed feelings about them. Having no prior knowledge of the band I more or less bought into the "sell-outs" argument but ultimately dismissed it since I had no interest in the band at all. One day, I decided that after hearing about this supposedly amazing song called "Master of Puppets", I would check it out. One youtube channel and several clicks later I found myself listening to the epic eight-minute and thirty-eight second masterpiece; or, "epic" so I thought. I couldn't ignore the nagging doubt that I had been lured into listening to an overrated song due to public opinion. It wasn't until I listened to "Enter Sandman" that my interest really began to pick up. A few more songs - "For Whom The Bell Tolls" ... Read More:

This is a very strong cd by a group that is one of a kind. I first heard of this cd when I was stationed in California and have been listening to it ever since. In my opinion this cd expressed deep emotions and creativity that are in each of the members of the group in a very artistic and exciting way. Some of the songs that I really feel are fun and grow each listen are "somewhere I belong", "breaking the habit", "easier to run", and "lying from you". One of my coworkers who happens to be an exciting and interesting person gave me a copy of this cd that they downloaded and I am sure grateful they did. This is definitely an album that is worth your time and will grow on you each listen.

I am at a loss for words [speaking of Jimi]. I've purchased this recording at least 4 times !!! Since it first came out on vinyl !!! The only question to ask is, Quality of the reproduction?
YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET !!! If you buy a cheap quality reproduction ,,, it will sound like poop.
Pay the money and get GREAT QUALITY ,,, take it from a wise man who has traversed the trials and tribulations of a ca. 60's baby-boomer !!!
THIS CD IS AWESOME, MOST EXCELLENT ,,, IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT !!! enough said, peace

If you're wondering which CD of this Stones classic to get, get this one. The digitalized remastering process here sounds almost as good as pristine heavyweight vinyl. And for younger listeners, if you've never heard "Let It Bleed", you're in for a ride - from the first quiet haunting notes of "Gimme Shelter" to the gospel vamp out of "You Can't Always Get What You Want" it's the Stones at one of their all-time peaks.

Blind Faith's first and last album, more than 30 years old and counting, remains one of the jewels of the Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, and Ginger Baker catalogs, despite the crash-and-burn history of the band itself, which scarcely lasted six months. As much a follow-up to Traffic's self-titled second album as it is to Cream's final output, it merges the soulful blues of the former with the heavy riffing and outsized song lengths of the latter for a very compelling sound unique to this band. Not all of it works -- between the virtuoso electric blues of "Had to Cry Today," the acoustic-textured "Can't Find My Way Home," the soaring "Presence of the Lord" (Eric Clapton's one contribution here as a songwriter, and the first great song he ever authored) and "Sea of ... Very few bands are able to create an album that defines a moment (the Britpop era) in the way that Oasis did with this 1995 near-masterpiece. While it may not be one of the greatest albums of the Rock era, it's hard to imagine how it could not be counted in the top 50!
