Absolutely amazing. Though I loved "As we Fall", i found some of the beats to be repetitive. Minus all is an amazing work of art, each song flows nicely together but is distinct.

Good album. Only listened through a couple times so far and its not shaping up to be a new favorite but this is classic Baebes and has everything I've grown to love about the group.

I own an older album with many of these tracks. The SACD (Super Audio CD) version is far clearer with greater detail than the original recordings. If your curious about this controversial album, this is the version to buy.

Closer to God

This single is a great part of the Nine Inch Nails collection. I would say after buying all the major releases of theirs get this and "fixed" first. Closer to god, is not just another remix of closer, but a whole new version of the song. A lot heavier I might add. the other remixes on the cd are very god, 1 even is almost like an acoustic version. Also the album has "memrobilia" a soft cell cover.

I've been looking for something like this since, say, Rammstein's Mutter! The newer Rammstein doesn't quite do it for me. This, however, hit's the spot! Eisbrecher mixes dark electronica with drum bashing and hard hitting, crank-it-up, in-your-face metal-esque guitars. Very much like Rammstein in that fashion and even vocally, but the synth & elektro aspects are far more sophisticated and prevalent, and seem to provide more musical backbone. Plenty of atmospheric drones, samples and dark angelic choir to add even more of a dark edge. Production and sound quality is about that of any Rammstein production.

This is 100% elektro-industrial (or more appropriately, "New German Hardness") goodness! Pick it up!

The extra's series so far has been a blessing.. Remastering long out of print KMFDM singles from the tvt/wax trax days and packaging it in a 2 cd format, for less then it'd cost to find the originals on ebay. ON Extras 3 we get the 2 left-over tracks from the glory single from the previous extras, volume 2. Then we get the JJJ single, the brute single, the rules single, the mdfmk single, and then 3 non mainstream single songs. the power and megalomaniac single mixes (meaning shortened album versions) and a mix of anarchy (payola mix) with sanitized lyrics, presumably for radio play. Dark Passion Play

That song is While Your Lips are Still Red. It's great to have Escapist in there too, something that was only released in the Japanese version of DPP. While Your Lips are Still Red, however, is quite possibly the most touching, heartfelt, and real thing that Holopainen has ever written. Everything else on this CD is icing on the cake, and the cake tastes good!

Floodland

People either tend to think that Floodland is the best thing since sliced bread or a piece of bombastic pretentious overcooked tripe. I tend to sway either way. In certain moods, this is a really good album, at other times its too heavily compressed, overdone production - put simply, its glittering surface harshness starts to really grate on me. Certainly the instrumentation is lush, the arrangements exquisitely crafted and the lyrics charmingly mysterious. But underneath it all, as especially evident on the acoustic 1959, something's missing. 1959 is a beautiful track and sounds like it ought to tug on your heart-strings and send a shiver down your spine, but it just never quite gets there.
