... but love the best of HIM, this is the CD for you. And, if you love it, it's still the CD for you. All of the favorites, from "When Love and Death Embrace," to "Funeral of Hearts," and "Buried Alive by Love," are on this CD. But, still, if you already have *Dark Light* *Razorblade Romance* et cetera, you don't need it... but, then again, you'll still get it... Even if only to get your hands on "And Love Said No," the wonderful new title single on this compilation album.

It's been six years since I ordered this Cd from Amazon, and I love this Cd even today in 2008. Midnight Syndicate has done a very good job on this. Yes, it has less sound effects, but that is to be expected, because, as the title suggests, these are symphonies, and you can add your own Halloween sound effects to accompany these dark symphonies from the crypt. All the tracks on this Cd, with your own Halloween Sound effects, as well as your own spooky poetry are guaranteed to make your hair stand on end, and have sweat rolling down your neck. Also, if you listen to this for Halloween, you'll be getting screams of terror from the kids and adults for years to come. This is a great Cd to add to your scary music collection. Highly recommended. Buy it...if ... Read More:

I wasn't expecting another Damnation and a Day.
We got something more straight forward.
More like a kick to the face.
Not even in the same league as Damnation but still a good disc.
Essential?
Probably not, but fun to listen to in the car.
Especially the first song...... :)
Naughty!!!

The Music is from the motion picture Resident Evil. The music does not stray from the movie, in fact the music is what is exactly in the movie

This cd is terrible, just like all of HIM's other albums. This "band" is nothing more than a slick marketing machine: a bunch of goth posers wearing too much eyeliner, and of course with their own symbol, so that teenage girls can buy it and stick a "heartagram" on their backpacks. Avoid this at all costs, and buy a Katatonia album instead, if you want to hear the real thing instead of a shallow band built around gimmicks and a marketable image.

Italy's Lacuna Coil has made a name for themselves within the genre of metal over the past few years. This is mainly due to the fact that lead vocalist Cristina Scabbia is definitely one of the best looking vocalists in a metal band. Unfortunately for the band, they are mediocre and this release just does not turn heads and really show metal a special band in the making. Unleashed Memories was originally released in 2001 and also includes the Half-Life EP.
Unleashed Memories starts off very promising with a track titled Heir of a Dying Day. This song showed me that Lacuna Coil had a unique sound and I thought the album would rise after one phenomenal song. Little did I know that the album would be an utter disappointment, even after two years ... Read More:

Not only is this something for X-Files fans, but also for anyone who is a fan of 90s music. Love the Foo Fighters version of "Down In The Park". Also Nick Caves' "Red Right Hand",that song you always heard but wern't sure who sang it. The opening theme song is so powerful sounding you almost forget that this is music for some sci-fi telvision show on Fox; Full length version too. No heavy metal from Filter however. Rob Zombies song is pretty loud and intense. The REM song is just some music with some old guy talking rather than singing, pretty dumb. I know an X-Files sdrk should have some weirdness but the REM song is one to forget. There are two hidden tracks on this cd. The only way to hear them is to rewind past the first track on your cd player.

I really like this CD- HIM character comes through true to form. This is more mellow overall than some of their releases. It is most alike Love Metal in my opinion. Good melodies, fairly even tempo'd and with some variety. I've enjoyed this one a lot and rate it 5 stars!

Many people dislike this album, saying it's disjointed and underproduced. I feel these terms are misnomers for the truth behind this album.
To me, the album is a refreshing return to the early days of this band...days which found the band in one room, playing live, and figuring out their parts. It's a much more dynamic album with less production than more recent Cure albums. After listening to the lush soundscapes of Disintegration, Wish, and Bloodflowers, "THE CURE" sounds more in line with the production values of Seventeen Seconds and Pornography. Although synth instrumentation is evident, it doesn't overtake any of the songs. Much of the instrumentation can be attributed to simply guitar, bass, and drums. Maybe this is why they lost two members after the tour ... Read More:

What else can be said about Nox Arcana that has not been yet. I think this may be my new favorite cd by the Kings of Haunting Soundtracks.
This tribute to Poe hits the mark in every way, and should be a part of every Halloween buffs collection.
Nox Arcana manages to mix spooky, romantic and entertaining whilst staying on target with the subject. The tracks with the haunting violins absolutely create the perfect imagery.
