I've been a fan of Rammstein since the mid 1990s but only recently got to see how great they are in concert and this DVD does them great justice. I watched it again last night before I even received the email from amazon.com to write a review on it. I would recommend this DVD to any metal fan and definitely to any Rammstein fan. You just can't tear yourself away from it once you start it up. You won't be disappointed if you purchase this DVD. ~Chris from Missouri

^This^ coming from a person who's enjoyed Bloodflowers, Wish and Disintergration. I own seven or eight Cure albums but this is the only one I find myself constantly listening to. This might sound blasphemous to dedicated Cure fans but I find Robert Smith's voice intolerable at times; but on this entire album he and the entire band sound their absolute best. In my opinion the majority of their best songs, up until this was recorded, are found here. Let me emphasize though that this is not your average Cure album, it extends most of the songs moreso than remixing them and it focuses more on the instrumentals than the vocals. -Hence my personal reason for liking this Cure album more than any other. This cd, dare I say, would probably be in ... Read More:

I continue to listen to this album often. Every song is good and has its own atmospheric presence. I often travel to the high sierra nevada's and this album doesnt leave my cd player. I highly recommend it. Composed beautifully and sound quality is great.

Immortal Records executive producer Happy Walters was responsible for killing the long-standing feud between rock and hip-hop when he coordinated the production for the soundtrack to 1993's "Judgement Night", which was critically-lauded for its unorthodox tag-teaming of acts of both genres. Walters decided to try the same concept for "Spawn", the 1997 live-action flim adapted from creator Todd MacFarlane's Marvel Comic. This time out, he put together established acts from both hard rock and electronica, and the results here were equally as memorable if not terrific.

This album, a compilation of tracks from earlier recordings, is an excellent introduction for anyone unfamiliar with the music of Steve Roach. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Great breakout album. If the whole album were as good as the highlights, this would be a solid 5 stars. Still a very worthy purchase even if only for the highlights.

Wow, Marilyn Manson actually has some listenable songs for once. That makes the album passable. Unfortunately he's not a very good songwriter or singer, and the guitar playing is VERY average too. No need to even buy this album because of how average it is for the most part. Just a couple (rather predictable) songwriting moments make a few of the songs tolerable. The obnoxious way the guitar riffs and vocals come across means I give the album a big "no thanks". No point going into detail for each song since they all sound the same anyway.

In 1992 I was reading Guitar Player and there was an article on the Cure. I always thought they were some weird goth band but I read the interview with an open mind and was surprised to find that not only did they favour writing with guitars but they (mostly Robert) had a huge vintage collection. Remember Porl went onto the Page/Plant tour? Well in the article it satates that at rehearsals and sound checks they would jam on Zep tunes before Robert would arrive. It was agreat interview and I was impressed with their wit and charm. I went out and bought both Wish and Mixed Up. Robert's writing, recording, and production techniques both won me over and inspired my own recording ventures. If you are a song writer or guitar player then you owe it to yourself to discover ... I think what this band is trying to do is bridge the gap between progressive rock, and death metal on this album. At times it sounds like prog rock, at other times death metal.
A fan of prog rock and death metal would probably like this. However if only one of those is your preferred genre, you'll probably hate it.
I myself think they show a lot of talent as musicians, but they aren't legendary. If you want a legendary guitarist, listen to Dream Theater or Symphony X for your prog rockers. For you death metal people, I'd suggest some Deicide.
