to put it simply. This is the first of their's I have bought so I was pleasantly surprised it was so good.
The first few songs have a lot of energy and the later songs are very toned down and peaceful, dreamy and in a way very emotional without trying to be.

Its like the best parts of Coldplay and Radiohead in one and better.

The final two minutes of Sgt. Pepper is far and away the greatest finale in rock history. After John's lazy proclamation that he loves to turn you on (albeit facetiously), the band carouses into a whirlwind of cacophony with reckless drums and horns and noises into the climax, a sustained piano drone keyed by all the members, followed by a bunch of nonsense chatter by the band (it sounds like "never-oozy-awsa-ohna-wa"). In the history of rock music, there has never been anything like it before or since. As far as the rest of the album goes, it just about lives up to the hype. After continually hearing Daughtry on the radio at work, and liking the songs that I heard, I decided to purchase the CD. VERY wise choice on my part. The CD is great! It's been in my CD player since it arrived about a month ago, and it won't be coming out anytime soon.

My favorite song on this album so far, hands-down, is the poignant, bitter, "Poison Prince", but the other tracks are close behind. Amy MacDonald's husky voice is the perfect compliment to thoughtful, sometimes biting lyricism and folksy traditional instrumentation... while liltingly rich with the musical tapestries of Scotland, this album also has a hint of American country twang, making it unquestionably distinctive while remaining infinitely listenable.

A thousand reviews? I only can echo the majority. This is simply another masterpiece from the greatest band that ever cut a record. These four were in a class by themselves. The Beatles and then there were all the others. Abbey Road blew everyone away when it came out and still is an experience and not just a set of songs put together for listening to while you run the vacumn cleaner. I always think of some of the assertions that have been made about Shakespeare when I take in the entire catlog of the Beatles. It seems impossible that one small rock combo could come together and create art the way they did the same way that so many people can't imagine one person writing as many classics as Shakespeare did. I think it's been said all before in the other reviews, but I'll say it anyhow. This album is just one of those bits of perfect music, put together in a way that flows and ebbs in order to keep you hooked. And hooked you will remain! From the hard-hitting electronica of "15 Step" to the haunting piano and lyrics from "Videotape". It's my favorite Radiohead album by far and one that should be listened to and relished by anyone interested in either Radiohead or just good music.

This is a great CD to have for the variety of hits. Many of the "Best of" collections are missing a few songs because Aerosmith jumped around between recording companies. This one has Dream On which is missing on many of the collections.

This is just way too fun-- razor sharp, superb quality- the boys looks great after all of these years and although you figure they have played all of these songs thousands of times each in the last 4 decades....they still seem to enjoy the music and each other;
Fun with Billy, Dusty and Frank doing Foxey Lady in the bonus too..Hendrix was a Gibbons suppoerter and fan back in the day...but they give teh song just enough ZZ Top feel to sell in their own style.
Definite good way to spend $$ on a music Blu Ray!

After the disappointing last album "Seventeen Days", 3 Doors Down redeems themselves with this self-titled album. The album is awesome and is just as great as their first two records. The best way to describe this album would be to say that it achieved what 17 Days tried to do but failed at. These songs are very in-depth will surely be a classic album in this band's career. "It's Not My Time" is a very cool song, and all of the others are just as good.
