I find it curious that the most of these songs that we are all so familiar with seem to have only the vaguest familiarity to Shelby Lynne. Her "interpretations" I think would only appeal to those who have a fondness for those who sing disjointedly to themselves along about the time the tavern is closing. As far as being a tribute to Dusty Springfield, it certainly isn't in my opinion.

Seriously, stop already with the Radiohead comparisons. This sounds nothing like Radiohead, not Pablo Honey, not The Bends, not ANYTHING EVER by Radiohead. Just because Coldplay's singer tries to sing in a high register like Thom Yorke sings, doesn't necessarily mean the two bands sound alike. Coldplay, for instance, sucks big ones. Radiohead is sort of a brilliant band. There's one difference right there, just for starters.
But whatever, you're not a loser or anything if you like this garbage. Lots of people like garbage even worse than this! So there, feel good knowing that you're not utterly, totally, hopelessly devoid of taste (maybe).

Someone please bring back 1999 and 2000 when the Backstreet Boys and Nsync reigned the pop charts and this squeaky mess of a band didn't. :-P

John Mayer will go down in history as one of the very best guitarists. This gives you a wide variety of John Mayer. Solo, unplugged, incredible blues, and the popular stuff. It covers it all. I really like this DVD. I think very highly of John after this. Well worth the purchase if you like: Blues, Accustic, and or his popular stuff.

This is awesome. Carrie Underwood is awesome. I love her music. I would recommed this CD to everyone that likes country music and maybe a few that dont. She is awesome.

This a a good CD. Talented singers and the great songs. But these certainly are not the originals, but they do not really pretend to be.

Oh my goodness, I was forced to listen to this (expletive) bummer of a CD recently and my brother, who is a doctor, almost went into shock at the sight of me: palpitations, eczema, hot and cold rushes I got.
This CD is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. There is not one good note on this filthy disc. It hurts my eyes and ears to see so many dumb dogs run around believing this p.o.s. actually is worth a lousy nickel.
Tracks among others are ALL simply atrocious: Time is a drag, just a slimy piece of I don't know what, Money would be OK if it wasn't a complete King Crimson ripoff, Any color you like is a laughable joke, The great gig in the sky tries to compete with great bands like Tavares and Village People but fails miserably, Brain Haemorrhoids ... It's been almost 11 years since Portishead released their last self-titled album (I'm not counting Roseland NYC Live). The three member group of Adrian Utley, Geoff Barrow and more prominent Beth Gibbons have been often credited with making the trip hop genre more mainstream. Originating out of Bristol, UK, Portishead introduced their hometown sound to the commercial radio waves in 1994 with Dummy. With downtempo hip-hop beats, a touch of turntablism, and Gibbons' staple vocals, Portishead instantly created their own style and with that came a vast following. It's no wonder then, that when appropriately titled Third album hit the shelves, it was snatched with a hunger. Prior to the album's street date it was released on last-fm and attracted over 327,000 listeners within ... Read More:

I love Jack Johnson and this CD was no different than the rest of his, PERFECT! I can listen to Jack Johnson no matter what mood I am in and his songs fit in just right. What an amazing artist. This CD is my favorite of his.

First of all, MGMT? Is that "Management?" "Meenage Gutant Minja Turtles?" "Mey Gight Me Tiants?" Beats the hell out of me, and their website ("whoismgmt") is no help, either.
The album title, well, seems to be communicating some sort of remarkable event involving an oracle, or one that is, by inference mystical and difficult to interpret. Me, I think they just thought it sounded clever, and it rhymed, too. The depth of this title was not reflected in the music.
And what is this ridiculous promise of "multi-dimensional vibrating Technicolor sounds?" That's a pretty tall order, and I took up the challenge. I listened, carefully, living with this release in the car for two straight weeks. I heard absolutely nothing that I would characterize as ... Read More:
