I'm a long time XPN listener. And thanks to listener supported stations like this I was lucky enough to hear 2 cuts a week off of Glen's new CD each week leading up to the release. I'm glad I did. I couldn't wait to get this CD and all the previous reviews do a much better job of going into the nitty gritty of the record. You would never know the guy is 72. I think it's great how older artists can just record what they want at this point in their careers and not be tied into worrying about sales. This album also makes you want to go out and research the artists that originally did the songs. I'm looking forward to it and many spins of this great set. Thanks GC!

To all those that don't like this new album, they can suck it up and deal with it. I personally love this album. They decided to do something that, in some ways, was very different. I applaude them for that. I love all the tracks on here and I even bought a copy for my uncle so he could listen to Radiohead. As far as if that was the best album for him to start listening to Radiohead I don't know.Radiohead- In Rainbows (Guitar Tablature)

If there's one thing that John Mayer makes clear on this concert release, it's that he's not just the handsome pop-rock star that he has been painted as throughout his rise to fame. Mayer is really a man of two talents: A knack for catchy singer-songwriter radio hits, and some serious talent on blues guitar to the point where he's played with the likes of Eric Clapton and Herbie Handcock.
"Where the Light Is" works as both a showcase piece and perception-breaker for Mayer, who plays three distinct sets in a single night in L.A. The concert holds an loose and intimate feel, filmed in an appropriately conservative manner to allow viewers to observe the nuances of the performance.
Highlights include a fantastic surprise ... Read More:

I love the song "Realize" and throughly enjoy "Bubbly." Everything else on this album sounds like everything else I've ever heard, not to mention each other, so save yourself some money and download these two if you like them and ignore the rest. It's really not worth the money.

(This is a review of the product itself, not the music..)
Great album, not the strongest of Reznor's, but one of his most outright heavy efforts since "Broken" and a welcome follow up to Year Zero. Be warned, however, that the copy I received has a distinct warp on one edge of the vinyl. Although I should have learned my lesson after getting 5 warped copies of "With Teeth" from Amazon earlier this year I still clicked "buy" and took my chances. Due to returning what feels like too many warped LPs I just gave up on returning this one and am instead dealing with the frantic jumping of my sub-woofers from the first track on each side. It certainly doesn't help that this record has such a low volume in comparison to nearly everything else I own so it ... Read More:

It's best to start with one warning: some people simply don't like Conor Oberst's voice, whether it be on this album, or as a part of Bright Eyes or Desaparacidos. That being said, it is impossible to dispute Oberst's proficiency as a songwriter. As a lifelong Springsteen fan, I've always considered The Boss to be one of the best lyricists of all time. Since I became a fan of Bright Eyes and Oberst, I would now consider him to be better than Springsteen. Some of his lines are truly incredible, and the listener cannot help but be touched.
This album is unlike any Bright Eyes record. Bright Eyes songs have become known for their sad sound and slow rhythm that can be described as nothing but "depressing". While this album has a slow, sad song or two, it also has incredibly upbeat, ... Read More:
