The Dandy's rule, ok? I think they're awesome. They kind of suck live though; Courtney Taylor-Taylor is no Kim Deal.

I liked 'Warlords', but I only listened to it a few times. This new one though... I've already listened to it like six times this week. I haven't done that since 'Monkey House'... and ... every album... before that... one... So it's a good sign I think. Every song is a new smokey treat for your ears; there isn't a boner in the bunch. I especially dig on the two love songs. Very special.

Matt offers a truly genuine album with an effort more musicians should put into their album. I dare people to listen to this album and not enjoy it. No, it isn't the banter filled experience of his live show but has a full album replay value much higher than most released today. This wasn't a rushed effort to put a #1 chart topper on the market surrounded by a waste of time. Rick Springfield!?!? Put out this record?!?

Indeed he did! And is it great! Amazon offered a free full CD listen before it was released. Being somewhat of a fan, I thought, "Why not? It's free. I'll give it a go." And then I found myself listening to it over and over and over......Rick Springfield?!?!? Unreal!

Rick has always been the master of power pop, but this collection goes beyond that, and I'm sure having bassist Matt Bissonette helps. Rick and Matt co-wrote all the tracks and Matt played on the album. Matt recorded and toured with the likes of Joe Satriani and David Lee Roth, so you know he knows how to rock.

For any of you whining and moaning and nagging that it isn't like the show, get a clue. It says "From the Original Motion Picture". For anyone confusing "HBO: Home Box Office" for an ACTUAL box office, apologies, but the only "motion picture" of SATC is the one that just came out in 2008 in actual movie theatres.

If you want the tv show theme song, nope, you aren't going to get it here.
If you want La Belle et Le Bus Boy from the Paris scenes in Season Six, nope, you aren't going to get it here. If you want a CD that has a Fergie song on it that you think is g.l.a.m., well, you might be disappointed on that too.
