I just received and listened to this album today on my way to school and it is awesome. It includes the hit radio single "Jesus Messiah", but oh, this is just the start! Love with the Children's choir has to be my favorite along with God of This City and All The Way my Savior Leads Me. I like the fact that Chris Tomlin put another hymn arrangement on this record, but I only wish there were more like it in the future! Amazing Grace-My Chains Are Gone was probably his defining song of his life, even though he would attest, it wasn't his song, neither John Newtons. It was God's inspired message. I bought this CD after seeing Buckcherry at Cruefest. Everyone song on this CD is really good. I have had it in my CD player ever since I bought it. I really recommend this to any rock fan.

I was pretty excited when I first heard a new album from Shinedown was coming, because I discovered them with their latest release, "Us and Them," a CD I completely fell in love with. However, I was extremely disappointed with its first single, "Devour." It lacks something greatly in my eyes that I can't exactly pinpoint. But to my good fortune, I finally decided to give "The Sound of Madness" a shot a month or so ago. My opinion on "Devour" remains unchanged, but almost all of the rest of the album is amazing. With superb lyric writing, songs such as the title track and "Second Chance" should absolutely blow you away. The review title says it all. His singing is some monotone falsetto. Probably thinks he neither has to sing or enunciate because what he says is so profound. Saw him singing on YouTube also. Looks as if he rolled in that puddle that is the album cover six months ago & is mildewing through. You should be embarassed to buy this album.

This is the pinnacle of "marketing the same songs". I remember when Greatest Hits albums were it - you put one out and you were done. Now, there's repackaging, and new editions, updated remasters, and the phrase "Complete Greatest Hits" just strikes me as odd. I mean doesn't the concept of "Greatest Hits" mean that all of your good stuff is there? So why would songs on a "Complete Greatest Hits" as opposed to just "Greatst Hits" be as good? If those songs were as good as the original batch, wouldn't they have been on the first edition? This seems like marketing twaddle to me.

Anyway, the songs on here are fine. The Cars are one of those groups where I never really bought their material, since you heard almost all of it on the radio a zillion times anyway. But ... Read More:
