"Merry Christmas Baby"!!! OMG! What an awesome song!! You're going to love this song!!! Melissa's voice and Philip's guitar singing the blues....perfect!!!
I am totally in love with this song!

"O Night Divine" Philip Sayce fans get ready for this one!!!!!! I don't think any words I use can do justice to his solo. You just have to hear it. The song itself, the lyrics, like a personal message from Melissa to the world. My second favorite song on this CD.

Rattlin' Bones

I've been a Kasey Chambers fan for about a month now, after hearing "The Captain" and "Rattlin' Bones" on the radio. After listening to all of her music I have to say this is my favorite CD.

Kasey and Shane's voices work great together. The instrumentation is excellent, particularly the banjo work. The lyrics are consistently interesting and well performed. There's not a weak song on the disk.

What I really liked was the wide range of styles: folk, Appalachian, rock, and some country flavors. It will hold my interest for quite a while.

In a day and age where everything has gone Digital, I am finding it harder and harder to "discover" new music. I refuse to listen to local radio as they continue to pump out garbage and the songs repeat every couple of hours. I also refuse to pay for Satellite Radio as I don't spend much time in my vehicle. That leaves my trusty iPods and iPhone. Where am I going with all this? Well thanks to the modern invention of iPhone and the iTunes APP Store, I was able to discover this GREAT band.

None of the reviews so far mention the ESSENTIAL role played by Jamaican geniuses Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare in making this album worth its weight in gold. After more than 30 years in the business, Sly & Robbie (respectively on drums and on bass, Reggae's two most important instruments) continue to create divine music for us listeners. They outdo themselves with non-Jamaican artists and Michael Franti is the latest artist to benefit from their inspiration. Special thanks are in order for the riddim twins!

When a band changes so much that it no longer even closely resembles its former glory we often hear the word maturation bandied about as the long suffering fans defend the suddenly discredited sad sacks they still listen to. Make no mistake about it, I am a music fan and as an artist myself I understand the need artists have to grow and evolve over time. But that is not what Staind have done.

After the success that came from the bands softer ballads of Break the Cycle it seems all Staind have left in them is one recycled power ballad after another. The majority of my musical CD's/mp3's are hard rock (AC/DC,Earshot, Disturbed,etc.), classic rock, Progressive Rock (Dream Theater),top 40 country, or basically anything with a good beat. My 3 year old daughter and I kept hearing pocket full of sunshine on the radio and she would energetically hum and start dancing around every time this song came on. Now she knows most of the chorus. I decided to buy it for this very reason and once my wife and I gave it a total listen we were pretty impressed with it. #2 "Pocket full of Sunshine" is the most popular (so far) and with good reason. You can listen to this song any where and it fits. #5 "Piece of your Heart" is as good as the title track. What a groove from these 2 songs!!! #6 "Soulmate" is a very creative song written about ...
