this album was released in 1993, the height of grunge, where the styles of the 80's and all the wonders of synth pop were finally drowned out. Depeche Mode release "Songs of Faith and Devotion", a highly anticipated follow-up to their most commercially successful album "Violator".

as a commercial success it did not do as well as the previous album. the contents of the album are a different story. Here is where the band has finally incorporated a more organic sound to their music and guess what, IT WORKS!. the first release "I Feel You" was a change of pace as a loud distorted guitaer kicks things off and many were surprised.

in my own humble opinion Martin Gore probably has written some his strongest material.

so, TLC, 2nd album, super marvelous R&B, the production is simply great, J.D., Dallas Austin, Babyface...although i already knew the singles i fell in love again with "Diggin' On You" and the favourite album track i think it would be "Let's do It Again", it's just a great sexy slow jam. The Prince rendition is pretty cool, and well they definetly make R&B crazy, sexy and super cool.

I have to admit I didn't care much for Cascada's first album, much less listen to euro pop. I thought the group's previous album was repetitive and ridiculously cheesy. On a whim, I recently decided to check out the group's latest album PERFECT DAY. Much to my surprise I found myself enjoying the catchy euro-pop songs. The songs are pure ear candy for my ears. The infectious pop melodies are permanently stuck in my head. PERFECT DAY isn't innovative. It is the same what one would expect from a group like Cascada, fun catchy pop/dance songs. Natalie Horer has a pretty decent voice which reminded me a little of Christina Aguilera. The lyrics are stupid but the addictive pop hooks and throbbing dance beats makes up for the awful lyrics. Jazzmaster's V is simply a perfect CD that one will play over and over again. I particularly like "Children of the Ghetto". Buy it if you like Paul Hardcastle, or never even heard of his magic. There are no regrets with this CD.

I have to agree with the fact that this cd has stood the test of time. I remember when the song "children" by Robert Miles first came out and I was still a teenager then. Fast forward some years later and I decide to take a leap of faith and buy this cd and what honestly helped my decision was overwhelmingly positive reviews. Listening to this cd gives good reason for the numerous positive reviews. Listening to many songs on this cd makes you feel in a positive way that you are in some type of beautiful and mystical dreamland.
