In most respects, Thievery Corporation's 2005 album THE COSMIC GAME is a further refinement of the global lounge styles they had explored in previous efforts. There's Asian female vocals and sitar ("Satyam Shivam Sundaram"), echoes of Brazil ("Pela Janela"), and a rastaman glorifying Hallie Salassie ("Warning Shots"). The duo of Rob Garza and Eric Hilton, who ran an elite lounge in Washington DC that would accept only the finest dress and comportment, also continue their theme (its sincerity is questionable) of the Third World masses held down by the Man; witness the songs "Revolution Solution" and "Amerimacka" where Perry Farrell and Notch deliver such lines "The toil of the many goes to the fortunate few" and "Land of the free built on slavery." ... I had never heard of Cascada before we took a drive with one of our grown daughters. She had the CD playing and within minutes the entire car-full was singing along. We enjoyed it so much that we delayed getting out just so that we could finish the CD *laughs* I went right home and looked it up on Amazon and bought it. I recieved it within days and immediately downloaded it to my computer and my MP3 player. Now it's the most listened to tracks on both! The upbeat sounds are perfect for working out or cleaning house. I live in a mountain community near a lake. When I'm listening to Cascada, I can walk the 3 mile lap around the lake in nothing flat. Trust me, if you have the opportunity to listen to this CD, or better yet, buy it... Don't hessitate. ... Read More:

The very first time I've listened to this album, I thought my player got broken or the CD was scratched, but then I listened again afterwards and noticed that it was actually the real sound of Daft Punk. No strings attached.
After a few more times of listening and deep-diving it, I suddenly found myself hooked to the loops and beats of what could be considered the best Daft Punk album ever. A risky project which turned into quite a good electronic/house classic, as good for workout as it is for partying.
Weird samples, extreme loops, mad beats and several other bizarre sounds made this album an essential if you're in it for electronic.
"Around the World" is a true all-time gem, for sure.

Came across this very talented young lady just following links when browsing one day, liked what we heard. This CD is really a wonderful journey and makes for very enjoyable 'road trip' music! The 'Reggae' qualities on some tracks are just plain fun and the entire CD just makes you smile. The light jazz and soul on others makes you want more. Will be looking for another from Ayo!

This is a mixed bag -- the gems here are on the 2nd disc, because most of the remixes on the 1st disc are droney, boring, and don't add substantially to the originals' worth. For example, "Park It In The Shade (Audion Deep Steeple Mix)" is 12:20 min. long, but fails to really evolve aside from formulaic adding/removing elements in 8-bar sections. As background filler, it sort of works, but isn't compelling active listening. Overall, the remixes package is regressive, sad, and aimless -- the only one I'd speak up for is "Mongoose (The Fields Disco Mix)", because The Field has a rare gift to float hypnotic loops without being mind-numbingly boring. That's really rare in electronic music, and to give you a better idea where I'm coming from, I love it when producers ... Read More:

It's been a few years since its release, but this is THE Enigma CD, from the trilogy it's the best, it's full of Enigma's 'trademarks' such as the Shakuhachi flute and Gregorian monk chants; and songs such as "Beyond the Invisible' and 'TNT for the Brain' will blow your mind, there's not one song in this CD that is not worth listening to, it's a winner in every way, just like in MCMXC and 'The Cross of Changes', Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi! brings back the joyful and Gothic motif [I'm talking from the middle ages not the 'new' Gothic] Enigma has always put in its music. Michael Cretu is a musical genius!

This cd has more adult oriented song's than the hit's 1 , this cd is good to explore more into the darker side of Prince's music if your a true fan , highly recommended.
