I finally bought this after waiting in vain for netflix to send it. The wait time with them was something like "Infinitely Long Wait." I don't understand why they don't just buy more copies of the DVD in that situation. (??) Anyway, I'm glad I purchased it, as it pretty much fulfills all of the promise of Glen & Marketa's collaborations in Once. Their songs are "swell" (sorry, couldn't resist!), the harmonies are deluxe, and the sound quality is very good. We get to hear and see versions of their Once tunes (including the minimally featured title track!), plus some good Frames material from Glen. This one will be at CD Warehouse too, I love Janet and I thought I would love this one, but I couldn't even make it all the way through, I tried skipping through it but they all seemed to start off with the same beat. Maybe it's just not riding music, so I'll try it as clean-up music before I sell it.

When comparing it to the Robyn of the past she's almost unrecognisable, she is a woman with a great voice and an ear for innovation. With this album, it has some amazing tracks such as "Bum Like You" and "With Every Heartbeat" in these tracks she displays just exactly why we fell in love with her music in the first place. It was original, yet she didn't go insane with trying to sound so different that she actually sounded much the same of other such musicians.

There is a gripe I have with Robyn and this album, however, and that's it spews musical arrogance. She's insisting upon her own talent and saying to the world "Look I'm a great singer and I can rap too" but the response I have to that is no, Robyn you can't rap and it actually makes you ... This album is one of the best albums I've heard overall lately! When I listen to this record, I often forget its not Radiohead. When Thom Yorke says its definitely just a side project, and not a "solo" album, that's a very valid statement. It does sound more like a side project. Solo albums, at least in my experience, always seem to sound a lot different than the artist's material with the band. This album to me, seems like songs that Thom didn't want to put on a Radiohead album, so he just put them on The Eraser. Since it was technically only him, it automatically receives the label "solo album". Not that it isn't a solo album, it just sounds so much like a Radiohead record to me. First off, I have to disagree with the reviewer who said that Diplo's "California Soul" remix "destroyed" Marlena Shaw's vocals. Yes, the original can't be improved upon, but out of all the remixes on this disc, Diplo's remix is probably the most faithful to the original song. It's almost like he was too timid to really mess with such a classic, so he just locked in the tempo, added some beats, low end, a few filter effects, and that's about it. The track sounds more like something Diplo would have done for his Ninja Tune album. Most of the rest of the remixes on this release range from poor to above-average. Packed with all the amazing hits including many from the Jackson 5 and Jacksons era, also delivering a good number of previously unreleased tracks and original demos that any fan would more than appreciate (The demo from 'We Are the World' it's impossible to find and simply brilliant).

The booklet itself is amazing, superb pictures and lots of info. Plus the Bucharest concert, if you don't have it already then here it is.

This cd was the bomb and i love both disks! Even the one with the group on it. "Blame it on the Boogie" is my number one song. I love to dance and i get down on that song. Great condition..I love it and thanks again.
