Pure Disco, Vol. 2 has a lot of great disco tunes and major hits from the golden days of disco! Going to the discothèque meant you could dance your worries away and find glory on the dance floor even when you were down and out in real life. The quality of the sound is excellent and the artwork is very nicely done.
The CD starts with "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor. This sounds like a recording she made after she recorded this earlier; but it still sounds pretty good and it's still great music for dancing. KC & The Sunshine Band do their classic disco hit entitled "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty;" "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty" has one of the best disco beats I've ever heard and they sing and play this ... Having now listened to all of Tiesto's 'In Search of Sunrise' series, Armin Van Buuren's 'A State of Trance,' and the other two Thrillseekers albums, plus a handful of other artist's studio albums (like Kyau & Albert, Markus Schulz, etc.), I'd just like to say that this is the second best trance album I've heard thus far - it's absolutely *loaded* with phenomenal tracks. Most 2-CD compilations have about 10 or so really great tracks on them I find (i.e. tracks you want to come back to again and again). Nightmusic Volume 2 has over DOUBLE that. The only other album that tops this is Tiesto's lastest ISOS release (Asia). Sell a kidney, take out a loan from the bank - whatever you have to do, get some money and order this album!

Angelique Kidjo is soulful and real. Her music transcends class, race, and genre. No one will be disappointed with this album, She continues to grow into the international superstar she's meant to be. The laundry list of collaborators on this album is impressive and speaks to Angelique's diversity. It's also so important to note that Angelique is intensely devoted to educating girls in impoverished communities in Africa. She uses her music and fame to draw attention to one of the most important issues facing the African continent. She has founded the Batonga Foundation and the the website is worth a good look. [...]

The title says it clearly "Is a Bliss" is joyful blissful relaxation. As stated by another reviewer, Isabliss is less dark than Ramfjord's previous releases - this is what I find most appealing. The melodies are more predominant and there is more use of vocalise than earlier works. Isabliss will be on repeat play for many days.

This album is one of the best albums I've heard overall lately! When I listen to this record, I often forget its not Radiohead. When Thom Yorke says its definitely just a side project, and not a "solo" album, that's a very valid statement. It does sound more like a side project. Solo albums, at least in my experience, always seem to sound a lot different than the artist's material with the band. This album to me, seems like songs that Thom didn't want to put on a Radiohead album, so he just put them on The Eraser. Since it was technically only him, it automatically receives the label "solo album". Not that it isn't a solo album, it just sounds so much like a Radiohead record to me. As in the other reviews, I warn you, if you don't like electronic ... Read More:

Is it possible to do justice to this album? Truly an awesome piece of music that manages to be emotive, exciting, mellow, dark and melancholic (in true Burial style) all at once. Near Dark is simply stunning, woodblocks, dark rave stabs running around in the back, and a vox admitting to envy. Archangel has elements not unlike Rhythm and Sound, but nothing like them, too. More darkness and vox. The entire album is the work of a genius. I didn't think it would be possible to top South London Boroughs; so, eh, what do I know?

I bought this DVD (Volume 2) because I loved Volume 1 so much. I consider myself a big fan, but I now realize I must not be dedicated enough to enjoy the contents of this collection. Overall, this is a great set for very committed, die-hard fans, featuring two spectacular, ground-breaking live performances and some very rare music videos. The sound and picture quality are great in my opinion, despite some criticism from other reviewers. My personal experience was not so positive, as I did not enjoy many of the obscure videos here, especially "They Don't Care About Us," "Blood on the Dance Floor," and the unnecessarily boastful opening sequence. Make sure you know what you're buying with this collection, and if you're positive you love most or all of ... Read More:

More isn't always better, unless its a triple CD, 43 track offering from Cafe del Mar. Not dissimilar to Vols 13 & 14. Some familiar artists, such as DAB and Rue de Soleil. Same familiar chilled, laid back sounds for watching a sunset with a glass of your favorite.
Release Date April 24, 2006
Very smooth and cool tunes. Nearly every song on the album is great. I would say their newer album (2008) isn't as good, but this album is a must have!
