Trace Akins' new album X (ten) dose not disappoint!! My faorite tracks are ill te Last Shot's Fired, Sometimes a Man Takes a Drink, Sweet and Muddy Water. I saw Trace in Concert last month before ths CD was released and he did Muddy Water with a local church choir singing background . . . it was quite a moving prformance!!

Dangerous Man s still my favorite Trace Adkins Album, but this album is certainly one of his finest!!

Although they aren't typical "cookie cutter" radio-ready country, the Zac Brown Band suddenly have found themselves with a #1 country hit, "Chicken Fried", a catchy tune with great harmony and fiddle playing. Surprisingly, their album is a mix of a variety of music and is really hard to describe. Think half island/reggae country similar to Kenny Chesney's new music - and half bluegrass country similar to Union Station. Soothing, relaxing, and just great to pop in and chill out...chicken fried comfort music for the soul!

I love Kellie Pickler's voice. This CD isn't the best I have ever heard but it is decent. It might be better to just download a couple songs from itunes so it is cheaper.

Best song in my opinion is, "Rocks Instead of Rice". Very funny song.

Fairly routine country music fare, and quite disappointing. Julianne adopts a highly affected southern accent on most songs - it sounds forced and artificial (That Song In My Head, About Life, Hello). It's like you're not hearing Julianne, you're hearing her impression of how a country singer should sound. She would have been better advised to sing using her natural voice. Often the lyrics that emanate from her mouth are not at all believable (Jimmy Ray McGee, About Life). That might be okay if she was recording an album of cover songs, but these are new compositions. To sum things up, Julianne Hough - although a decent singer - is a country music poser.

The Life Of A Song

Joey & Rory may have lost on Can You Duet (they were ripped off in my opinion), but thank the Lord, they got a record deal. This CD is excellent. Finally, a country duo and not some pop star wanna-bes. They have fun and also seem to really enjoy poking a little fun at times. She can sing slow songs and up tempo songs with equal enthusiasm. Rory balances it out with his unassuming demeaner and songwriting talent. He also sings harmony, but never interferes with her lead vocals. I also own her solo Cd from a couple of years ago. Search for Joey Martin on MySpace and you can buy the MP3's from that CD. Hope they're around for a long time.

Love On The Inside

I LOVE Sugarland and I think that this is the best album (CD) yet. I don't understand why they relegated the songs that they did to the deluxe fan edition. "Fall Into Me" is my favorite song of theirs so far, it is an awesome song and it should have been on the "regular" edition of the album. I also love "Very Last Country Song". I feel they are growing and improving as a duo and while stayng true to their roots, also branching out and becoming even more accessable to those who might think that they "don't like country music". Give them a try!
