This was a very hyped CD and for me with my middle of the road taste, found it to be the worse CD I have purchased, in addition to Blue Raincoat by Jennifer Warrens. After The Hunter with Jennifer Warnnes came out, Jennifer could have sold me an Edsel. What is her game plan? On Michaelson's album girls and boys I did like "The Way I Am". I do have a machine that will let me splice tracks together, so maybe I can salvage one song from the miserable album.

Alright, so you've probably heard a lot about this album and this band but I think this album and the band deserve so much credit. If you haven't really listened to anything off this album yet, I'm going to convince you to. Read on.
This amazing album has two disks: Jupiter and Mars; both fantastic. Its sound is way different than previous RHCP albums but still keeps they're original style and flair. With crazy bass lines from bassist Flea and funky guitar rifts from guitarist John Frusciante, this album is packed with creativity and has something for everyone. Drums are always great too when you got Chad Smith on them; one of the few guys in rock music these days that keeps a smile on his face.

I have heard all the songs on Insomniac and Dookie and loved them. When I got this I was expecting kind of the same music but got totaly different and I like it.They kinda got away from their punk roots but that's fine by me.I love all the songs on here. The only song that I could live without was Rock and Roll Girlfriend segment on Homecoming. My personal favorite song on the album was either Holiday or Saint Jimmy. The lyrics are sometimes hard to understand because of his accent but you can always go on google to see what they are.The guitar, drum, and backup singers all are very talented and do a fantastic job.Recommended to any Green Day fan.

The Killers really suck, you know that? My reaction to most of this album is "These guys are irritating." And since I'm not really seeing any redeeming facets to Brandon Flowers' obnoxious voice or the group's style-over-substance sound, I can't go "These guys are irritating, but they can really play their instruments" or "These guys are irritating, but they've got a unique sound" or whatever. It's just "These guys are irritating." Here's what Hot Fuss is in a nutshell: an '80s pop album for a new generation. If I liked '80s pop, then I'd probably love this album as much as the rest of the world does. But I hate '80s pop with a screaming, searing, blinding passion. So I'm not exactly privy to the idea of the dancey, stylish synthesizer blips that show up ... Read More:

while much can be said about the decline in the music industry this album represents the death of rock music in the ninties. This album compared to the great rock albums of the seventies surely shows the lowering of musical talent through the decades. most of the songs you can't understand and what little you can does not make any sense. there is little artistic value in this cd

Reznor always did best when it came to instrumentals. I loved the Still album, but it was so short I wished there'd been more. I heard about Ghost IV and saw it in BestBuy for $10 so I decided to get it. This is exactly what I wanted. Some of the pieces are more synth and beat based, others being more focused on somber piano and strings. None of the tracks have names, just numbers. My favorites are Disc 3: Track 4, Disc 4: Track 1, and Disc 4: Track 7. They evoke a strange wave of emotion that's hard to describe, if you remember "Adrift and At Peace" and "Leaving Hope" from the Still album, its kinda like that. This probably isn't the best album for Metal/Industrial fans, but if you like classical, ambient or game music this would be right up your alley.

.... thats what you must have if you dont grab this OUTSTANDING cd. only wish I had spotted it years ago, what a great set of tunes!!! A lot of bang for the buck.

I bought this blind from Amazon, based on the reviews, and having never heard of the band before. I was so impressed, I bought their first two albums.
The music is certainly derivative, but if somebody makes a new painting that looks like a Dali, then well -- it looks GOOD because Dali was good, and to heck with those who decry the lack of originality. I actually saw this CD on an endcap display at Best Buy, of all places, and for people who buy CD's at Best Buy this might well sound original. It gets the "Beatle-esque" branding, though it reminds me more of solo Lennon, and there's a detectable love for Brian Wilson here as well, but the Bowie influence on their earlier records seems to have run dry. For the most part it is quite similar to the ... Read More:

They have a folksy sound and they know how to make you want to listen. Very good music. They're not the Beatles, but then who is. It's well worth the money.
