Artists who don't grow... tend to die. Anyone familiar with Juliana's work will sense a similar structure, but experience a distinctly new execution. Personally, I like her new direction as much as her past efforts, and 'Some Girls' makes for a nice bridge between the two.

Before I comment, I'd like you all to know that I'm a huge BF fan and was anticipating this release anxiously. I have all his piano transcription books and enjoy playing along with his tunes whenever I can. That being said, I was a bit disappointed in the selections from this album. Like the previous reviewer mentioned, it seems a bit weak, and certainly not one of his better releases. There are two selections which follow the same vein as his earlier albums which I really like - Cologne & Kylie, but the rest were somewhat reminiscent of Naked Baby Photos. Bottom line is, I will still support his work, and purchase his future stuff no matter what :) Haven't had a chance to look/listen at the DVD & live CD yet.

This is what I would expect from Iron and Wine- another great album. They take chances- chances that always work for me. The combo of fabulous lyrics and great melodies remind me of a new artist Arrica Rose I just came across in her new CD La La Lost Both alternative folk with uniques styles.

Does You Inspire You

Bruises is a fantastic hit.
It's the new Nano song, its destiny was preordained.
The remaining tracks on Does You Inspire You, eh- mostly forgettable.
Having said that, Bruises will probably be included in the 2008 infomercial compilation releases.
Here is my question to you: listen to the Cure - Close To Me - and then listen to Bruises...
It's the same track, isn't it?

Begin to Hope

Begin to Hope has quickly become one of my favorite albums. I love Regina's quirky vocal styles and her lyrics that add depth and poetry. The album starts on a high note of "Fidelity" and continues in smooth transitions and whimsical fashion. Of course, I'm sure the whimsy is more calculated than it comes off as, but Regina is very talented and talent always makes it seem easy. The ever-expanding beats of "On the Radio" make it my favorite on this album.

This album is okay, but it's highly overrated. The best and only really great Spoon album, as far as I can tell, is Girls Can Tell. Please make an album like that again.

Okay chances are you either heard the song "Hanging By A Moment" on the radio or you probably saw the buzzballads commercial like I did. And chances are you think no song could top it off...but believe me there are plenty that do and this is coming from a pessimist.

1)hanging by a moment: not gonna get too into it. one of those songs you love at the first listen and that you just wanna play over and over. that and what made the band big when it debuted

2)sick cycle carousel: good song to come after HBAM. starts off nice and then gets into it. pretty good song. didnt get as much success radiowise but still one of the more radio friendly songs.

Eyes Open

I like the music the the Snow Patrol, the only problem is that I haven't received it. I ordered other items at the same time I received them in a timely matter. At this moment I haven't receive the Snow Patrol: Open Eyes CD and I haven't received any information from the company that I bought it through on Amazon.com. With my experience with this purchased I will not be ordering again and time soon.
