This is my 3rd Jack Johnson CD, so I knew it would be good. This has some fun songs that are great for kids, though even those have a lot of clever and humorous lyrics that the adults will appreciate. As with any other Jack Johnson CD, I have a difficult time telling you which tracks are my favorite because it sometimes changes with each listen. Each track is what I've come to expect from this artist, and just like the other CDs, if you aren't crazy about a track the first time through, don't worry. It may end up becoming one of your favorites. Some songs jump out at you immediately and you love them instantly. If you have seen the movie, then you know the music is great! This a fun CD to put in when your driving around with the top down on your convertible or riding in your jeep/old bronco. Parts of the movie come to mind when you hear the songs. Keeps you smiling.

This deluxe edition is not the original movie soundtrack, but "Music from the Original Motion Picture" and missing a few songs to boot. The original songs are so much full of passion as they were recorded during the acting. I was very disappointed in this CD.

Often reviewed as a sloppy album it nevertheless is historic for the fact that they split up after this album. I am a Beatle lover, so I like most of their songs, but "Let It Be", "The Long and Winding Road", and "I Me Mine" ( from George) are classics. It's a must have for Beatle fans.

I have read many of the reviews of SA here and I must say...to all those who have ripped apart an absolutely amazing show...get off your couch and go see it before you say it is garbage or trash or asking what has Broadway become...you are the same people who ripped apart another amazing and Tony winning show..In the Heights....If you actually do a little research, you would learn that SA the Musical is based on a German play from 1982...A time in which sex and talking about sex was taboo...This is the same time period in which Ibsen wrote a Doll's House and Chekhov wrote Three Sisters and The Cherry Orchard...this is the time period during and coming out of the Victorian age...Now...I have seen the show on Broadway...and sat in the onstage seats...and I will also ... I purchased the first CD release of this soundtrack and it was awful. Tape hiss was so bad, and echo was there from RCA using the album master instead of the original master tapes. Now, after hearing this version, RCA has obviously gone to great care to make this soundtrack sound brilliant and as good as I thought it should always sound. RCA's living stereo recordings were superb and that is exactly what we get here! They have eliminated all of the voice echo, the orchestra sounds full, and the master tapes for the soundtrack album are in better shape...sounding better than the tracks on the film (DVD) do.

Having seen the movie more than 20 or 30 times (one of my favorites!) I had to get the soundtrack. It's a good mix of the music from the movie, but it does leave out a couple of the best tracks.

Loved the movie but disappointed over cd not having Gerry's songs!!! Would not have bought it, should have read more reviews.
