My two year old son loves this DVD. He watches it over and over again. It keeps him well entertained while he is learning. I would definately reccommend it.

I "kind of sort of" like this movie. My daughter watches it from time to time, but the quality and storyline do not hold up against the other Barbie movies. Our favorite Barbie movies are:

1. Barbie as The Island Princess
2. Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses
3. Barbie Mariposa and Her Butterfly Friends
4. Barbie in The Nutcracker

I would only recommend this movie if you are a collector and want to own all the Barbie movies, otherwise, choose another one of her movies and I'm sure you'll enjoy it more.

Also, to improve her reading skills I often put the movies on with the sound off so she can read the subtitles, but I went through the entire menu system and could not find the subtitles ... Read More:

I bought this DVD as my son is really into Monster trucks at the moment and was pleasantly surprised with the educational content of the DVD as well. First of all, it is very cute and my son loves to watch it, but it also deals with feelings and other educational concepts like telling the truth or being scared, etc. We absolutely love it; even my 18 month old daughter will sit down to watch it. Episodes contained on this disc (Vol.1) are as follows:

Your child would love watching this video, but she'd also love eating cotton candy and drinking grape soda. Many pediatric and psychological studies (e.g., by Children's Hospital in Boston) have shown that young children know FEWER words for every hour they spend watching videos like this one. Why? Because they aren't spending time with YOU, practicing their language and social skills. There's also evidence that young children who watch TV have a greater risk of developing ADHD. Last, toddlers who grow up in homes with the TV always on in the background literally seem to have more trouble hearing themselves think. For example, I enjoyed so much the Duck mom lesson: to protect their descendants with intelligence, audacity, valor, and love. This video is a must for anyone, so we can learn better why we need to respect nature and wildlife.

Encourages brushing your teeth before bed. Seemed kinda short compared to other Blues movies. It teaches coordination with rythme. I like this movie for my daughter and she enjoys it also. She is 18 months.

These video's really work. She is starting the third video now and is using new signs every day.

She tells us when she wants milk, is hungry, thirsty, in pain, needs a diaper change, as well as when she sees animals of all kinds. People are blown away when we demonstrate what she can do.

Probably the most profound impact that signing has had on her is that after learning the sign for pain (which is not in the videos) when she hurts herself, she tells us she has pain and where it is. My 3-year-old is ballet crazy, but this DVD completely bored her. She left after about 5 minutes. It is so poorly produced, it looks like a bad home video - bad lighting, really boring message, etc. It moves very slowly, not much action or pacing, so it just bores the kids. Sadly, there are not a lot of other options out there, but this is not worth your money.

Not my favorite either. The best one of all that I ordered was "Go,Exercise with the Teletubbies". My 14 mo. old daughter imitates the exercise movements. Even my husband loves it.
If you only buy one, get the "Exercise" DVD.

Classic Nursery Rhymes

We got this as a gift when our daughter was born and she absolutely LOVES this album. Susie Tallman has a lovely voice and she brings a lot of originality to this collection of nursery rhymes. We listen to it all the time and as a adult, I actually enjoy it. Some other review compained about that it was non-traditional, but that's exactly why we love it. The songs & rhymes are distinct and fun and my daughter (9 months)laughs at the silly voices. We bought several more of her albums and also really like Children's Songs and Lullaby Themes.
