The other reviewers have good points, but I don't think anyone has mentioned what I think is the most fun feature on this DVD! But more on that in a moment.

First, the people giving negative reviews have two good points - this thing IS a little dated, and the song "Grim Grinning Ghosts" can be scary for young kids. (I can't remember any other major criticisms...) Having said that, I really like the return to 1989: Big hair! Guys wearing pink (non-ironically)! The PeopleMover! Party Gras! It's a little like watching one of those World of Disney shows from the Sixties. The Wonder Pets: Save the Nursery Rhyme is a great DVD to have if your child loves the Wonder Pets. The episode where they have to help the Cow jump over the moon is too cute. Any Wonder Pets DVD is a good addition to add to your DVD collection if your child loves the Wonder Pets.

'Learning About Letters', 'Learning About Numbers', and the '25th Anniversary Special' are the household favorites. This DVD was really well done. 'Learning About Numbers' is still my favorite. Maybe try both?

This is the Cd by Coldplay where they take their music and make a lullaby for babies. I bought it for my son's sister-in-law who had a baby. I got a very positive response from the parents and they are late 20s to early 30's.
So I bought more for my kids for future grandchildren. I highly recommend it as it is nice for the parents also.

Hi-5 is a great DVD for kids. My 19 month old daughter cannot get enough. They are very educational and get the kids up and moving!!!

My family are big fans of Dan Zanes, so it was an obvious choice to pick up 'Nueva York'. It didn't disappoint. The rhythms and songs are very good and fun to listen to. My son doesn't even understand much Spanish at 4, yet he tries to sing along! The singular thing my husband and I noticed was that the usual members of his group are not present except for his drummer, which surprised us a bit, as Barbara has sung Spanish music with him before, however, we very much enjoy this record.

My older child grew up with Baby Newton and enjoyed it, but my younger child loves Discovering Shapes. At 20 months, he loved and started recognizing the shapes as they came on the screen. At 22 months, he now likes to point out circles and ovals to me wherever we go. This is by far one of our family favorites.
