I found this to be my favorite of the series. I like the story of Ira speaking of his break-up (getting over it) with her girlfriend. I could totally identify with "just friends" and understood exactly what he was saying.I laughed and was completely engrossed with what each story. I really like the story of the guy going to different houses giving interviews to the mentally challenged. This CD is worth getting. Oh if your a fan of David Sedaris then you will love his story on this series.

I had this as a record when I was a kid and I was so happy to find it on CD! It's just as great as I remembered! Their version of the 12 days of Christmas is pretty much how I always sing the song these days!

Although one of my more recent finds in Stand-Up, Mike Birbiglia quickly gained a top spot in my favorites list with his first CD "Two-Drink Mike". His new CD doesn't disappoint with another dose of hilariously awkward anecdotes that resonate with the misfit in me and another not-so-subtle "political" analogy. "Deck accomplished!"

I can't wait for his next CD release.

I listened to this album before I saw Blue Collar Comedy Tour The Movie, but the thing is, this album is what inspired me to see that! I thought Mr.Foxworthy was pretty good in this, like he is in "THE MUSIC ALBUM" and "GREATEST BITS", so that's why I wanted to see that movie. Some parts are silly AND funny simultaniously and I highly recommend this if you've never heard him before. This was the first cd that introduced me to him. Did I mention in any other material of his, that I've got his autograph? I think I did.

Let me start by saying that this is the best album ever.....to get your enemies. They will be dead by the end of the album, guaranteed. In fact, I had to have the Kiss of Life administered by my ugly co-workers multiple times while listening to this travesty while at work.
However, I will say that I listen to this album a lot when I am upset, or angry. It makes me laugh, and instantly lightens my mood. I feel no matter how bleak the outlook, I am not Martin Sheen speaking with a hoarse earnestness that is positively nauseating, nor am I Deepak Chopra stressing my "s"-es and adding the crucial charlatan touch to this inimitable work of genius.

I love This American Life. I have season one and I wanted to hear more of this radio show. I use to live in Chicago and moving back by the end of the year-i can't wait to hear them all the time. It's the best radio show around. I really like the stories that go with this CD. This is worth getting!!! Support this show.

It's hard to describe Bill Hicks' appeal. Towards myself, anyway. It has more to do with his delivery than his material-he loses me, idealistically speaking, with his rants about global fascist conspiracies and capitalist megalomania. Sure, I harbor a certain distrust towards corporate America, but that distrust only goes so far. I certainly don't think that celebrities who appear in advertisements are, erm, performing oral sex on Satan. Bill's material wasn't really all that funny, either. Not in the classic sense of the word. Sure, there were jokes, but they were only a means to an end. They were there to make the darkest implications of his message go down a bit more easily, or to provide a bitterly ironic underpinning for his grim observations.

I love this CD so much I keep buying it and giving it to friends to listen to. The performance and the song writing is purely annointed. Revelation Song and The More I Seek You are amazing. You will be blessed!
