I really enjoy Lewis Black...I have all his CDs now and I listen to them while commuting along with a couple other choice comedians. I have listened to his other CDs many, many times and they are still funny to me and I watch him do the same material if I catch him on TV.
But, this is not up to par with his other work, I was really pretty disappointed. I will still listen to it, but it's not the place to start if you are looking for your first Lewis Black for your collection, start with any of the others.

Well i ordered the damn thing already thinking it was more aerobic in nature, and didn't read all these bad reviews. I agree though that dancing for your significant other should have been more of an intimate and sexy instructional video. From what I read I am disappointed. What would whores know of intimacy anyway, and why would anyone be surprised that they dance like they are performing for the losers who get lapdances in a stripclub? Thats where they work!
I will give my full blown review (lol) after I watch it. Im curious if it comes with its own antibacterial wipes. lololol!

Aptly named, Maiden Voyage features tracks that are nearly ideal for beginning jazz improvisers. The chord changes are not overly quick, nor are the tempi on the tunes. Like most of the packages that Jamey Aebersold has put together over the years, Maiden Voyage works best for players of melodic instruments (flute, trumpet, saxophone, trombone, guitar, etc.). This is useful for guitarists and pianists who want to practice their comping, as it is for bass players. The only problem with using the basic version of any of Aebersold's book/CD packages for comping or working out bass lines is that there is no soloist to react to. This features, however, a solid rhythm section and putting yourself into it requires practice. A nice selection of tunes. ... Read More:

My husband bought this CD and we've taken a couple of long road trips where we will put it in and do the voice exercies. If nothing else, we enjoy doing the exercises and laughing together.
It's a good product. Some of the exercise seem silly. She doesn't always keep a good tempo. She usually says when she speeds up but not always. She seems off key at times. I find that it can be hard to listen to her voice for any long period of time.

The boys from Firesign Theatre brought it all together with this album, but I especially want to speak to side two, The Further Adventures of Nick Danger. Most of it has been said, so I don't want to re-hash my fellow reviewers' comments, of course I will anyway. Yes, it is a parody of the 30s/40s radio detective dramas, and yes there are Bealtes and Dylan references galore. However it is so much more than this, it almost defies analysis. To appreciate what's going on here, it really helps if you remember some radio dramas, even if you heard them in repeats as they finally faded into oblivion in the early 60s. The mental pictures you create as you listen to 'Nick Danger' are not, of course, limited by any set of reality. That oft-quoted phrase 'theatre of ... Read More:

I have had the vinyl version of this for over 28 years, and found it warped badly after a move. Saw it on Amazon and bought it right then. Good price and a really great album.

Lewis Black marks his debut in the comedy CD titled The White Album (not to be confused with that other White Album made by four British rock stars). The world's most angry comedian unleashes his trademark verbal assault on the weather, those who report the weather, politics, and everything else that pisses him off to no end. This is a must have for any fan of Black's work. Five out of five stars.

First, my opinion of Weird Al in general: this guy is a classic and a class act. He uses gross-out humor sometimes, but always keeps it clean--no foul language, no sexual references. And, this album proves, he only gets better with age. Yankovic won his first Grammy with Poodle Hat--can you believe he never won one before???--and I think that it should be the first of many.

Most of my college friends have moved off to different cities, and it's quite a haul to visit them. Music in the car is nice, but I always get the urge to sing! That's why I enjoy this CD so much. First we are treated to somewhat simplified arrangements of ten great songs, ranging from classics like Lady and the Tramp's "Bella Note" to more current songs like "Friend Like Me" from Aladdin. Each is performed by an artist who does an excellent job of enunciating to help the budding singer hear the words and where they go (the lyrics in the booklet help too!). The next ten tracks are the same songs, but without the lead vocals. Simple, elegant, fun.
Which leads to the two caveats: 1.) The "20 Tracks" label shouldn't be confused with 20 songs and 2.) There ... Read More:
