This CD is excellent all around, it is mellower than some of the previous albums and has a countryish sound to it. All of the songs provide some deep lyrics and with some great music to go along with them. I like Hendrix's electric cover of All Along the Watchtower, but it is awesome to hear the original that Dylan created in an acoustic manner with such power, which is never played on radio airwaves. This is one of my personal favorites from Dylan, similar in some ways to Nashville Skyline (with more country sound), New Morning (with a vocal jazz sound), and Self Portrait (Dylan's self confessed cover album), which I highly recommend if you enjoyed this album.

Born too late and having missed out on one of my favorite bands this movie provides the closest thing to a Grateful Dead show out there. Even if you're not a fan I think there is a lot of value in watching this DVD. It also might turn someone on ...

This needs the HD treatment. The DVD sparks with excellent sound and video quality I couldn't imagine what it would be like in HD. Closer to the real thing? Perhaps!

I was 14 when this LP was released. 40 years hence, I buy the CD. Loved it then; love it just as much now. The Byrds in their Nashville period. Simply great; 'nuf said.

I love the Indigo Girls, but I have to say that I found this album pretty much unlistenable. And I really wanted it to be good. It's not the music (which is pretty standard Indigo Girls sound, fine by me, but nothing that you haven't heard before); it's the lyrics, which mostly remind me of the sort of thing that you'd write in high school. At best. Compare this to an album like Rites of Passage... well, basically, there IS no comparison.

I like this album for the most part, I own every recording by LZ (except some rare imports), including DVD versions and DVD-A (5.1). The second disc is recorded with reasonably good sound for that period. The first disc is MONO not stereo, which ruins it for me. Still a good purchase for any true Zepp fan.

Well, its not nearly as good as Until We Felt Red, and there are some really weak tracks like Pull Me Out Alive, which is really dumbed down and has a very simple structure, almost sounds like Tegan and Sarah or something. The music seems to lack the creativity of her previous efforts, and many of the instrumental songs sound underdeveloped, as in they come off as sections of a larger work that doesn't quite complete. The guitar work isn't nearly as interesting as her other records, with the exception of Air and Kilometers.

But that being said, its still not a horrible album, and it does grow on you a bit, so its worth a download. The best tracks are, Saving Days in a Frozen Head, and Air and Kilometers.

"Enlightenment" is part of the 2nd wave of Van Morrison remastered reissues to hit the shops in 2008 (see full list below). Released Monday 30 June 2008 in the UK and 1 July 2008 in the USA, it also boasts an upgraded booklet and 2 bonus tracks for the first time.

Here's the layout (58:52 minutes):
Tracks 1 to 10 make up the original album - it was released in October 1990 on Polydor
Tracks 11 and 12 are previously unreleased bonus tracks - "Enlightenment (Alternate Take)" and "So Quiet In Here (Alternate Take)"

The upgraded booklet has the lyrics to the two Alternate Takes after the rest of the album, session notes and beneath the see-through inlay is a photo that matches the original artwork. Disappointingly, there's no new ... Read More:
