The 2nd album from A Tribe Called Quest, The Low End Theory is definitely their best album as well one of the greatest albums to come from the East Coast. One of the reasons for that is this album combindes both hip hop and jazz perfectly, especially since jazz bassist Ron Carter is featured on here. Another reason why its a classic album is because of the lyrical ability of Q Tip and Phife Dawg. Phife especially showcases his skils as an mc. One of my favorite cd's! Just as good as his previous cd "Be". He is a great hip hop artist and lyrist. If you looking for music with quality that makes you think this is the cd. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Atmoshphere just keeps defining the genre of hip-hop where others fall on their faces.

Is it any wonder sales of music are so terrible?

Basically, America hasn't heard of Atmosphere. (at least only 1/1000 of the people who should have). In the meantime major labels force ridiculous garbage from Lil Wayne, Ludicris and others down the throats of the public.

This album includes two tracks... "puppets" and "you" that are better than any single that has entered the billboard hot 100 in 2008. And the sad part ... it isn't even close. It's obvious to anyone who listens how much better this CD is.

For hip-hop, it seems like the early 90's was for rock. There's music out there that is light-years ahead of anything ... Read More:

Respect to the Beasties for the courage to grow up. That said, however, this, their second album, was their creative zenith, at least as a straight hip hop crew. I'm obssessed with the song "high plains drifter" and am going to, at some point in my life, try everything mentioned in the song. I've already spent a night at the motel 6.....

This is a great CD. I like most of the tracks. However Mission Impossible was Danny or somebody just fooling around, funny the first couple of times after that it is just wasted space. And Thinkin' Again his voice just freaks me out, it shows he has wide range.
