Based on the reviews I thought this CD would be more than what it was. Del really only hits the mark on 3-5 songs, the first 2 and Proto Kulture being the best. Otherwise he seems to be just off the beat and kind of sloppy. If I knew what I knew now I would have just picked up the mp3's for those 3-5 songs.

The scene enjoyed their attitude trying to inherit the hip hop sprit, criticizing the superficial image--"I see you try to diss our function by stating that we can't rap. Although this album did not have as many memorable songs as the album his first album "i wish my brother gorge was here" which had such songs as "Dr.Bombay", "Mistadobalina" and "Sleepin on my couch" but he brought a much different approach on his style going from what seemed to be a more funkadelic style to completely G-Funk with such great songs as "Catch A Bad One" and "Wrong Place" this album is "CLASSIC"

I originally bought this album about 4 years ago. It's awesome, great and amazing in every way... however it got beat up from continuous play. I just bought the digital download and didn't realize that EVERY single track is the same as the original save one. For whatever reason they slip in some horrible remix of one of my favorite songs on the album. I am pissed.

This is not only the first release with Violent J, 2 Dope and John Kichass rapping as "Insane Clown Posse", but this is the first ever release from arguably the most successful Horrorcore Rap label to date, Psychopathic Records.

This CD took a few years for me to get into, hence the late review. I tried and tried but I finally get it. This CD is great. Its different then Fly or Die, which is a great CD in itself. Neptunes is great but NERD is just greater. Its rock done NERD style. Its a mix of r and b, soul, funk, punk, rap, etc. You can jam this through from track 1 to 12.

This album is almost flawless and in my eyes, it is a hip hop classic. It is Missy's best album, with Under Construction in a very close second place.

Timbaland's production on here is untouchable, even to this day. Unlike almost every other rap song out there, these songs aren't just the same loop repeated over and over again... they have movements. They unravel as the song moves on. This album, which spans over an hour, does not get boring for even one moment. Since Missy hadn't fully developed her flow at this point, she smartly made the album half singing, half rapping. This also further sets it apart from any other rap release.

I bought it for my over 18 year old son. Some of the information was profound, but I will never understand why swearing is the newly accepted way of speaking to one another. My son loves the CD and plays it all the time, thankfully, with headphones.
