It may not be the best hip-hop act that's rising, but GCH has a certain flare to them. Not the most intelligent lyrics, but good playfully fun lyrics. Props. Recommended brah.

Why?'s album Alopecia (meaning 'bald') is a lush, dark, and refreshing album. With so many rap albums with filler, and so many indie rock albums just going thru the motions, this album is absolutely necessary in 2008. Don't ever try to classify this album, genre-wise. It is full of completely off-the-wall lyrics, masterminded keyboards, catchy choruses, etc. The album blends together perfectly. The album opens with "The Vowels, Pt 2", laid out over a nice beat, with some nice effects and guitar twang throughout, nicely blending into "Good Friday", a straight-up hip hop track, with lyrics that he wouldn't "admit to his shrink", and a chorus that follows no formula but works like no other in recent memory. If you're a hardcore OutKast fan, you already own this LP as well as all the others (or at least your personal favs since none of their offerings are exactly the same).

If you're lukewarm, more casual or just getting into 'Kast, this really is the LP you should start with because you truly get a "Greatest Hits Pre-2003" sampling of this group's many styles and flavors.

I thought this cd would be great but it turned out to be a one hit wonder for me. The only song I like is #4 Hip Hop. All the other songs just miss the bar. My advice is to listen to the samples of the songs and then make your own judgement. I'll just stick to Lil' Flip.

This album was released 6 years later after Hello Nasty. The lead single is Ch-Check it out. Triple Trouble was the 2nd single. Those two songs are their typicaly songs they did in the past. Some songs like We Got The Power is about voting a new president in. One of the members from Run DMC has a few lines on this album. It Takes Time To Build is about rebuilind New York city from 9/11 attacks. This album goes back to the old school years in the 1980's.
