This Band is a combination of members from Neurosis and Isis, and it doesn't fall to far outside their sound box. Slow and daunting melodies and "soundscapes" flow evenly through this album which range from 4 minutes to 19 minutes. Mellow, with no crashes or big booms, and No vocals whatsoever. It is very reminiscent of the solo's and slow periods during Neurosis's A Sun That Never Sets. This is an album to be placed on in the background to study to, or do odd chores or catch up on e-mail. It could easily serve as the soundtrack to a movie, which makes sense since the visual director of neurosis plays guitars on this. Pick this up if you are a Neurosis fan, you will likely enjoy it. IF you like the side project Tribes Of Neurot, then this ... Read More:

A fan of the guitar? Then check out Buckethead. This DVD will keep you busy for hours. His music ranges from "put you to sleep" to "make you go insane". I'm not kidding, he's amazing!
Release Date June 13, 2006
Very clean, but still unique. I would have to say this is an interesting album. I am still glad I bought it--maybe it will grow on me too.
Release Date January 09, 2001
The first Faust album sounds like a strange mix between circus music, strange atmospheric jams, and drunken party music (right before the bar closes down). It's also pretty darn melodic. An original sound and style, without a doubt. I hear some tricky time signatures too. The atmospheric parts can be quite pleasing and bizarre at the same time. Some of the themes remind me of spiders crawling around through the night hunting for food, while other parts make me wonder what it would be like to turn into a vehicle and just go crazy driving around on my own. An electronic masterpiece.

Another quality cd from the band. If you have never heard them before be sure to preview the music before you spend your cash. Not everyone likes these guys. But those of us who do are big fans.
Release Date December 07, 2004
Let me start by saying that I'm a big Soul Coughing fan. I just love the sound those guys put together, and the hep-cat poetry is awesome. Even though they have been defunct for years now, they remain one of my favorite bands.
So, I finally broke down and bought some of Doughty's solo stuff. After reading reviews on all his solo albums, it seemed to me that this one was the most well-received. So, I figured I'd give it a try. I have to say... I'm really not impressed with either of these discs.
The beauty of Soul Coughing is that they were different, interesting and original. Doughty's solo stuff is really just more of the same 'dude with a guitar' nonsense that we've all heard a million times before. And not only have I heard it all before, but I've certainly heard better. ... Read More:

Before I purchased this, I only had one clue as to who Peaches was...I saw her on an episode of The L Word. After that I was hooked on her music.
I especially went after this CD because of the song "I U She". That song is the bomb! It'll get stuck in your head for sure. So I bought this based on me liking that one song because I heard it before, and I was surprised at how many MORE songs on the CD were just as awesome.
This CD is enhanced, so on your computer you'll be able to see a few very indie looking videos starring Peaches. One is footage from a live concert.
If you're into techno, electronica, rock then you'll love this!
Release Date October 26, 2004
Mostly this album is an overblown dark ambient hodgepodge of genre fittings, but occasionally the brilliance that would become this band comes through. Their debut is perhaps the only album where Sigur Ros could actually be heard sounding like something else (quintessential shoegazers Slowdive come to mind) and the only album in their respected discography not needed to date.
Release Date September 14, 2004
The only thing I don't like about this is becuase you have tio have DTS stereo, but I don't that was the only problem. I had to watch over high speaker which was not cool. But other than that I enjoyed it.
Release Date March 03, 1992
As far as a pop album goes, this is a very well produced album. I'll admit I am biased as I was subjected to this at a good time in my life. However, I think you'll find some excellent production quality and musicianship. Such songs as "Monkey Man" display very good composition and choice of sound. If you enjoyed Talking Heads catchy tunes, I think you'll like this. Regardless of ego or reasons for the fallout of TH, Byrne has chosen professional musicians to execute his dream. All around a very good play.
