This review was accidentally placed on the wrong CD (Best of Zucchero), but it rightfully goes with this CD (Zucchero and Co.)! (please forgive) (However,The Best of Zucchero is also ONE GREAT CD and is highly recommended !)
Well, if you love the blues, or an updated/different version thereof, and if you love love songs, you will love this CD ! Whether you can speak Italian or not, who cares...they are love songs, make up your own words ! lol I bought this CD just for one song, Cosi Celeste (she's my baby) but have fallen in love with the entire CD...and Zucchero too I might add ! I discovered him through my love of Cheb Mami and wanted She's My Baby done by both of them, hence this CD was purchased. That song is mesmerizing and Cheb's ... Read More:

As a general rule, actresses that decide to take up singing don't usually fare too well with me. Their albums almost always come across as vanity projects, trying too hard to get attention from either the mainstream or the "hipster crowd." Knowing this, I was rather cynical when a friend recommended Charlotte's "The Songs That We Sing." This particular friend had pretty good taste and liked a lot of things that I also went for, so I tracked down the song and hoped it would be worth my time. To my surprise, it was actually pretty good! Shortly afterward, I decided to give the full album a try, hoping it would avoid the "singing actress" cliches and be as good as "The Songs That We Sing."
At first glance, there's not really much to ... Read More:

As far as this reviewer is concerned, Sweedens' Caesars do it better than any band in the land currently. That is when it comes to crafting some of the best pop-rock this side of 1967! Whatever you do, don't call them RETRO. Save that label for some band that is obviously trying too hard 'cause with The Caesars, this power pop is ALL NATURAL baby. The Caesars love what they do and we love them for it. Band composers Caesar Vidal and Jocke Ahlund know how important it is for certain elements of a song to grab the listener and pull them in helplessly with no escape. These elements were given a great amount of attention back in the day to create the hit 45: catchy riffs and hooks galore, layered harmonies, and a beat to which your body couldn't resist moving. I have been a fan of Parisian chanteuse Keren Ann since her debut release, La Biographie de Luka Philipsen in 2000. Not only is she gifted musically (she plays guitar, piano, and clarinet, and writes, arranges, and engineers her own music), Keren Ann is multilingual (she is fluent in English, French, Hebrew and Dutch). She presently lives in Nolita, an Italian neighborhood in lower Manhattan, which is also the name of her breakthrough 2004 album (Nolita). Mixed by Joe Barresi (Queens of The Stone Age, Alanis Morissette, Tool), her eponymous 2007 album, Keren Ann, is her fifth album, and her third album in English. It is an intoxicating collection of ethereal reverb-infused melodies that rival the best of Hope Sandoval (of Mazzy Star), Cat Power, Norah Jones and Feist. ... Read More:

This CD offers proof that a collection of music can be simultaneously catchy, intriguing, and absolutely awful! I found "Young Folks" to be engaging when I first heard it played somewhere in public, and bought the entire CD based upon that impression. The disc was listenable for a week or so until I finally concluded that it was awkward almost to the extent that I wiped all traces of it from my music collection. (It shares that distinction with only one other CD, Mark Mothersbaugh's "Insomnia," from the late 1980's)
If the primary lyricist(s) were to partner with a more capable musical ensemble, the results might be more worthwhile. Maybe. (And stop that damned whistling. It's not innovative. It's not refreshing. It blows!)

ABBA in total Spanish was a treat I did not expect! I honestly believe the songs on this album sound better in Spanish than English...and I am a Georgia native. The vitality and beauty of the songs remains true to the classic, and I wish I could buy more in Spanish.

I like this music, since his 1st Cd, and I has a great music, a mix between New Age, and Choral, wich lift the spirit and the senses, for a comfortable time.
If you like this kind of music, you are getting a great Cd.
