You could only dream of making an album this good.

One of The Cardigans best skills is re-invention. On this album they became the perfect band with the perfect album. Nina's lyrics are her best ever, and delivered with that irresistible silky Swedish sex-kitten voice. Peter Svenssons guitars and arrangements are brilliant. They had completed this album a couple of times and chucked and did it again until it was as good as they could make it.

The Seeds of Love is Tears for Fears' masterpiece. While their previous album (Songs from the Big Chair) gave the band a succession of memorable hit singles, The Seeds of Love shows Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal reaching their musical peak. The Classical purists will hate this type of album anyway and the fusion/acid jazz/avant garde will get behind it and see its relevance and appreciate it's sound effort. However, Ms Mae is not a an Itzhak Perlman or Nigel Kennedy, she is closer to a volvo mechanic than to a violin virtuoso: I have a number of her recordings both live and studio, where she is trying to be the latter; this album is closer to the former. "Bande A Part," the second album by Nouvelle Vague, follows the same formula as the first, offering up clever covers of new wave/punk/new romantic oldies from the 1970s and '80s -- some are brilliant reinterpretations, such as their take on Echo & The Bunnymen's "Killing Moon" (which opens the album) and "Dance With Me," from Lords Of The New Church, which are recast as introspective cabaret ballads. Leaving their early critics in the dust, Chris Lowe and Neil Tennant made on of the 80's consummate synthpop albums with their sophomore "Actually." From the detached yawning duo on the cover to the dry wit of such classic singles as "Rent" or "Shopping," this is a slice of the late 80's. But it also marked a maturity in the music that listeners of Please probably would not have expected. "It Couldn't Happen Here" was one of the first pop songs to directly confront AIDS (in 1987) and "Kings Cross" took a withering look at what Britain had become under Thatcher.

Okay so if you're a fanatic you bought the singles. So for 2 becomes 1 you get the version with Posh singing that bit instead of Geri (less politcally correct version about "boys and girls look good together" vs Posh's "love will bring us back together". I still don't get what was redone/mixed with my favorite "Spice Up your Life" song. I wish they did an extended intro like from the movie!!! Who Do You think you are is the video version where the ending (Mel C's chant) is shorter which is AWESOME. I wish Holler was the extended version or video version. Goodbye the intro is shorter i guess like the video. Say You'll Be There" I think that was pretty much the same, I was hoping they'd do the alternate opening they did on the Istanbul concert/Mtv concert

A Teens "Pop 'Till You Drop" is one of my favorite CDs. Here's a breif review for each song:

1.Floorfiller (10/10 One of the coolest songs on the CD ,it's really upbeat and it sounds kinda Euro-Popish)

2. Can't help falling in love (10/10 It's a really catchy remix of Elvis Presley's original version)

3.LET YOUR HEART DO ALL THE TALKING(7/10 It was a cool song )

4. CLOSER TO PERFECTION(5/10 I really didn't like, it's sorta 80's or something)

5.HI AND GOODBYE( 8/10 A nice mellow song, I love the lyrics!)

6. THIS YEAR(5/10 It was sort of strange and their voices sound really squeaky)

7. SLAM (8/10 It's so cool, I love this song!!)

OK, I'll admit right away that i don't get the criticisms below. i am one of those people who shudder at the adaptations of the Beatles, Stones, the Led, Dead Kennedys or Bobby Zimmerman. Yet i love this album. Some pieces (like Dancing with Myself or The Killing Moon) are better than the originals and others (like the Human Fly) or Bela Lugosi's Dead - the adaptation of the famous Bauhaus song - are almost like new songs, originals themselves. The singing is subtle and intense at the same time - this is no lounge music. Remind me of Pink Martini, only better.
