Wind chimes are beautiful aren't they? Remember the ones in the movie Twister?
So here, it sounds like there are two, one melodic one which you here first and most which is soon accented by the tinkly sounds of fairies and Boading balls (you know, the couplet hollow steel balls you twirl in your hand? Those are great too, btw!)
Back to topic; this is a delicate sounding, hour long cd, which is perfect with it's brief moments of silence in between the 'music' of the chimes. I love the way this CD sounds. There are such interesting types of birds on it that I haven't found on other rainforest and jungle CDs (of which I have quite a few). There aren't any chattering monkeys or sudden loud sounds, which is a plus for me. It is mainly very beautiful bird song and a brook for the first track, and a remote thunderstorm on the second track. I listen to this quite often!

I really like nature cds and I like classical music as well so I had hoped combining them would result in a great mix. This cd seemed to take away from the effect of each though. Every song had the formula: insert 10-15 sec. nature type sounds, play poor rendition of classical song with light nature sounds background, end with 10-15 more sec. nature type sounds. Not worth the money at all. This may just be a bad cd but I found it much more enjoyable to listen to the styles separately.

I love this CD and all its songs, a great Joey vs Yugi song. You have to have seen the series to understand though. That's why i give this CD only 4 stars. Otherwise it would be 5 ^.^

What I want when I buy a CD of whale song is simply that: whale song. I don't want other music (of which this does happen to be devoid), but I also don't want surf sounds or other above water animals (or other below water animals for that matter). I have tried many times to enjoy this disc but the surf sounds (which begin even before the first hoot from a whale) ruin it. I usually don't last more than a few seconds (though I have forced myself to listen all the way through a few times). Save yourself. Look for a recording that has ONLY whale sounds.
