This is background music, not a symphony, soundtrack, or goth music. FYI - it's EXTREMELY repetitive at times and often the synths sound too much like synths, but it's really made for haunted houses, Halloween parties, and the occassional satanic orgy, not for listening to on your ipod. Nearly every review (good and bad) has been accurate in that regard.
If you want something soundtrack oriented but more dynamic or musically interesting, get the Nox Arcana albums, or if you want vocals, Nightwish. They're mildly similar, but much livelier.
That said, it's very good at what it does - dark background/elevator music for the dentist's chair in hell (or your attraction or party).

'London Zoo' could be the album to bring broad public awareness to the underground dubstep scene. Not that I myself feel that it's really necessary to commercialize it, but on the other hand, I am not one to whine about more people being introduced to the genres rumbling wobble-bass attack.
Now, The Bug's interpretation of hard dub comes in a more hooky and easily digestible, jungle-like form (at least on this album), often heavily reliant on excellent guest vocalists, most notably Flowdan, Tippa Irie and Warrior Queen, and often following general song-patterns - not at all what we're used to from Rusko, Caspa, Skream, Benga, Cotti and Cluekid's 2-4 hour mixes. The tracks here are also less just about the BASS which might upset some of ... Read More:

This collection of tunes is an experiment with rock. I'm loving Björk's vocals, all though over-produced to an inch of her life. This LP is too eclectic to be eclectic. Post seems an effort to please mainstream goons. The LP feels forced.

Lovely music. Nice Indian flavor yet contemporary. Dreamy. Great addition to have Sting accompany on the one track. Ravi gets it going fast on his tracks. Love Karsh Kale on this.

I love these compositions. It's music for the listener. So many artists create music for themselves. But if you want people to listen to it, you've got to think more about the listener. Fatboy Slim does that in this album.
Although average, it is a consistent, high-brow mediocrity. The group continues to focus on production technique at the expense of creating memorable tunes, which initially brought them into the spotlight on their debut. Here, although consistently "pleasant enough" to suffice as background coffee shop fodder, barely anything sticks to memory and what does still comes up emotionally superficial.

Something to note about Rubycon is that it was this work that triggered Robert Friedkin to ask TD to do the soundtrack of "Sorcerer". There are several reuses of some Rubycon themes in the movie music. Which took an otherwise ok movie and made it much more visceral.
