Tiesto is a good producer but a better DJ. The tracks on here are pretty decent but the only one I REALLY liked a lot was "Break My Fall" and "In The Dark" was pretty good too.

This is more than just the single greatest adaptation of H.G. Wells' original novel; it's simply the greatest album in the history of everything... ever. I'll be the first to admit that not everyone shares the same tastes in art, literature and music, but I will say that if you don't like this album then there is something wrong with you (and I mean MEDICALLY wrong with you).
Get it now if you don't already have it. You've got two versions to choose from, so no excuses.
Decidedly average follow-up to a warmly received debut, the easy-listening techno outfit decides to virtually mimic the original's success. I do not necessarily need bands to constantly evolve (although it can be nice) but WIF feels like a blatant retread of ST, minus any edge or soul. The vocal songs are worse (except the smartly sung last track) and some of the chord transitions prove songwriting skills to be severely limited, in that the structures parallel those from before to a tee. Only a few instrumental tracks get to even stretch a bit production-wise, breaking a sterile grip from bland electro-pop.

I have always enjoyed A&B's mixes and productions, but this compilation is a great start for those who want to become familiar with their work. Most of the tracks are what I would like to consider "melodic" progressive trance. If you enjoy trance with beautiful female vocals, this is a must have. The talent is great, Zoe Johnston, Justine Suissa and Cara Dillon. The mixes do not fail, it keeps the energy level to a max without missing a beat.
This CD is great for late night driving, getting ready music, or even for work.

I'm a big fan of 80s alternative rock. When I heard Shake a Fist on World Cafe, I thought it sounded like New Order on steroids. I was instantly a fan. There are some slow, melodic songs also, and some that get a little monotonous. But overall, it's pure ear candy.

I was a bit disappointed in this album, but I think when I bought it, I didn't know it was a tie-in with Nike for a specific beats-per-minute pace designed specifically for runners. Maybe I ought to go take it for a run, but honestly, I was expecting something more along the lines of the amazingly excellent Vegas album. This was not nearly as good as Vegas. I'm kind of a novice in the electronic/techno music realm, so take that into consideration when reading this, but I've listened to enough over the years and have amassed enough electronic cd's, both albums by a single artist as well as compilations, to know what to expect from different groups who've made a reputation for having a certain type of sound. This wasn't quite what I was looking for from Crystal ... Read More:

Yes, another great cd to practice flow yoga to. My classes love the instrumental music. Makes us feel like we are on a sailboat, breeze sweeping through our fingers as we practice our postures to rhythmic, groovey tunes! Worth it!

George has finally stepped out of his shell and got this vol. off on a better foot then vol. 1. Gone? Vocals as he slides in with a great effort. His first album is the slower of the two and actually is quite a different sound then most are used to from George. A little choppy but some good tracks for sure. I think the ending track is what kills this set and feel the end didn't give this pretty good mix any bang. But come on it's the first disc and it sure does have some pretty sick tracks. The second disc brings back the acosta sound that all have come to love. He finally found the tracklist to showcase his sound here as he completely nails it. Disc 2 is a step forward. Finally George comes back and gives me his favorite set since Lost World. He ends ... Read More:

I love their heavy riffs, which are completely absent here, but the beauty of the songs have soul of the highest level. This is easily in my top five albums from my collection of over 300. Every track is unlike anything the pumpkins have ever done, and a work of genius. The lyrics are on the highest level I've ever heard from Billy too. As long as the pumpkins next album is good, I'm happy, but if they went back to do something awesome in this style I'd be in the clouds.
