This collection of tunes is an experiment with rock. I'm loving Björk's vocals, all though over-produced to an inch of her life. This LP is too eclectic to be eclectic. Post seems an effort to please mainstream goons. The LP feels forced.

This CD contains more of Madonna's hits from after the time that "The Immaculate Collection" was released. However, there are no new studio tracks on this CD. Every track on this CD is also the Radio Edit of the song in question. The only people I know who eagerly seek out these hard-to-come-by radio edits are the die hard Madonna fans (like myself).
While some of the songs I question as to their status as a "greatest hit", like "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" (wasn't 'You Must Love Me' a bigger hit? Yes, it was, and yet it's not included here) and "Deeper And Deeper" (I can honestly say I have NEVER hear this song on the radio).

If you had never heard anything from "The Fat of the Land" before this point in time, I feel confident guessing that you would think Prodigy was a "current" musical group/act.
The musicality and driving rhythms still feel fresh and clean, and the angst-filled vibe is still around. Prodigy was ahead of the pack, and still sounds great, today.

BLACK CHERRY is one of those rare albums where I initially didn't care for it but later on in life loves it. I first discovered Golfrapp through television. FELT MOUNTAIN is one of my personal favorite trip hop albums of all time. I loved the lush, orchestral melodies of the album. So when the time came for Goldfrapp to release their follow up album BLACK CHERRY, I wasn't too keen on the group's sudden change in their sound from trip hop to electro-clash.
After falling in love with the group's music again with SEVENTH TREE, I decided to check out BLACK CHERRY again. This time time around I have learned to appreciate and love BLACK CHERRY. BC is definitely a precursor to their next album SUPERNATURE with their mix of catchy electro ... Read More:

A++ If you're into sexy chill, this is it! If you're new to the sensual sounds, this is a great beginning. You won't be disappointed.

Well, damn. I can't say much more about this album; I was looking for a killer followup to Hold Your Colour, with all of that classic Pendulum spice and energy. I was expecting new and inventive beats, no matter what direction they went in; I was expecting a beautifully polished shaped piece of work, weaving in subtle layers to produce a deliciously tasty whole. I'd heard that Pendulum had changed styles, gone in a different direction, and I came in thinking that whatever they did, they'd make it rock just as hard as Hold Your Colour.
But sadly, I didn't get a lick of that from this album. I listened to it through a couple times, and I got --- well, I'm not sure how to describe what kind of a letdown this album was. The style isn't ... Read More:

I have been a fan of Buddha Bar and this latest collection I have is a promo CD, which clearly labelled "for promotional use only", which means not to be sold.
Moreover, the price of it near to my other Buddha Bar series made me feel that it is not a fair deal.

I would never hesitate to say that this is a very awesome group, overall, dispite their missteps. However, their albums have a wierd effect like it's impossible to be in the mood for every part of their personality in one sitting. It's like I want to dismantle their three albums to make one that is sudo-sentimental, one that is fun-loving with solid beats, then a third that is awkward and bizzarre. That way I could keep the third one on the shelf and not have it get in the way of why I love this group. As it stands, they play out like an awkward mix of Air and Ween, and their new album, while clearly showing acheivement, is no exception. I am not an MP3 person, per say, but if you just buy the songs that immediately sound awesome from their 3 albums ... Read More:

I've been wasting a lot of money recently purchasing albums that I wouldn't normally listen to,but that have been rated five stars in various music review books that I own and,for the most part, while I don't think that any of my recent purchases merits five stars,I know that this one definitely doesn't.It easily qualifies as the worst trash that I've ever heard and, believe me,I listen to and enjoy a lot of different kinds of music from the 1930s to today. This is certanly not music;all it is is out and out noise. The critics actually prefer this to Lou Reed's "Metal Machine Music"(which, admittedly,I haven't heard either, but it can't be much worse)? As the title of my review states, this CD is bad for your stereo(the constant, loud bass beats could very well damage ... I am a AVB fan, but this album does not sound hot. In fact, there isn't much he can do at this point to mix anything good, because there's too much garbage out there. No matter how much you mix garbage it still stinks.
