Change is just inevitable - that's all there is too it. I've listened to all these songs millions of times - but tonight, for the first time, 'Cowgirl' somehow sounded a little clunky - the beat had lost its edge. Really surprising. And a little sad.

This 'band' - it's hard not to call it that, even if it seems a little wrong - in it's prime was as good in what they did as U2 or Radiohead or anyone else is in what they do. Because they were in a niche genre, even as significant a niche as it was, they never were to be as big. Which is fine. The electronic people of the 90's managed to prosper while still holding to an outsiders' status, which i always thought was a neat trick.

Short and sweet, this is a really nice album. Heavy synthesizers, euro-rock from the end of the 70s. Sounds dated and experimental but great if you can get into that sound. I always enjoy listening to this one. (But most of my friends and associates do not!)

I own about 5 Eno albums and about 4 Harold Budd albums and several other ambient albums by other artists. This album "Ambient 2" is one of my favorites, not only as an Eno album, not only as an Ambient album, but it is one of my favorites music albums overall. I am a huge fan of ambient, and I have wasted a fair amount of money searching for good albums to listen to, so it is always so refreshing and satisfying to stumble upon an ambient album that is really good. It is hard to shop for ambient albums, because there is such a fine line between good ambient, and ambient that sounds like cheesy new-age music, or just not very good sounding ambient.

Sorry to say, but this is one (well 2) expensive coasters.
I listened to it all the way through & was more than unthrilled.
The next time, I got as far as the diabolical cover version of New Order's Temptation & threw the discs in the bin.
Moby needs to go back to his punk roots & keep this rubbish to himself.
I had to give it a star or my review can't be submitted, but I can award a star for the cd case which is handy to replace any broken ones I might have.

I have had this album for a number of years now and it continues to get better as time goes by. At first it comes off as a jumbeled mess. A mixture of music that has no business being on the same album. Then you ask yourself, "Why not?". Once you've cleared that thought process it all comes together.

The tracks are all bring something to the table (with the exception of Chaos). DJ Shadow and Jame Lavelle are genuises. They have an uncanny ability to bring out the best in artists. Unfortunately, UNKLE as we know it has never come together for a follow up album. And thats a shame because the potential of these two gentlemen working together is limitless. I've listened to teck-ish music since Nintendo 8 bit. (there are a lot of unsung heros in 8 bit gaming music). But anyway, i know what i like... this cd set is what i like. there are a number 1, 2, and 3 star reviews for this album. they all seem angry and seeminly wish that tiesto had not explored other avenues. i have no idea hwhat these people do or their taste but they missed the make here. this mix is nothing short of brilliant. tiesto is a master. i am not a huge fan of isos 5 disc 2 but isos4 is an amazing ride... the poor reviews say tieso this- tiesto that... he didn't make this music, he just combines it, and that he did... well this is a total latin trance trip that hits the mark. each of the isos mixes absorb the feeling of an area. this mix captures latin america ...
