Great Expectations es una historia cautivante de principio a fin y las actuaciones son excelentes. Para los que aprecian las historias románticas poco convencionales les recomiendo esta producción con los ojos cerrados. Excelente película! no puede faltar en su colección.

After Ambient 1: Music For Airports, Brian Eno decided to immediately bring another ambient artist in for the second album of the series. The choice was Harold Budd, a pianist who had played minimalist music in the past and had recently released his first album, The Pavillion of Dreams, produced by Eno. On Ambient 2, Eno is seen as the producer and overseer, while Budd is the solo performer.
And to be sure, Budd takes the spotlight extremely well. Very little in the ambient world can compare to Budd's playing. He is classically trained, and thus tastefully restrained, but at the same time his versatility is great and he never seems to do the same thing more than once on Ambient 2. At times he focuses his energy on the subtle melodies, ... Read More:

Tiesto is a good producer but a better DJ. The tracks on here are pretty decent but the only one I REALLY liked a lot was "Break My Fall" and "In The Dark" was pretty good too.

This 1975 album is my favorite of Eno's "rock" records and the contemplative, moody soundscapes really made it work for me. Overall, Another Green World presents a nice mixture of Eno's quirky pop tunes, gloomy instrumental tracks and a few instrumental pieces that feature some great playing by Phil Collins (Genesis, Brand X) and Percy Jones (Brand X).
Along with Brian Eno (guitars, synthesizers, electronic effects, keyboards, percussion and vocals), the personnel listing on this excellent 1975 release includes a few prog luminaries such as Phil Collins (drums and percussion), Percy Jones (fretless electric bass) - they play on two vaguely jazz-rock flavored pieces including Sky Saw and Over Fire Island and a mood piece entitled Zawinul/Lava, ... Hot on the heels of two acclaimed studio albums, the trio of Geoff Barrow, Adrian Utley and singer Beth Gibbons toured the United States and in doing so worked with an orchestra and horns for a live release.
It is often thought that electronic music is difficult to capture outside a studio, but "Live: Roseland NYC" is at the very least an exception. Whilst many critics have said Portishead's releases are too similar to each other, a good listen to "Live: Roseland NYC" with reveal a great many surprises about how Portishead adapt their songs to a concert setting. Contrary to what some might expect all the samples of their studio work are present, notably on "Only You" where they are used to create a crescendo effect in the middle of the song.

Jazzmaster's V is simply a perfect CD that one will play over and over again. I particularly like "Children of the Ghetto". Buy it if you like Paul Hardcastle, or never even heard of his magic. There are no regrets with this CD.

This is definitely a good CD. It's hits from the Sugarhill Gang, whom many musical historians have designated as the first rappers. Or maybe it's that "Rapper's Delight" has been thought of as the first rap song? Rapper's Delight kicks off this album, and it's very catchy, chock full of creative lyrics [unlike today's swear-filled rap records] that make for a funny song. The full version, which is here, is very long. The rest of the disc shows itself very much a product of the times in which the songs were written, the early 80s. That's fine, but it's just that a number of the raps don't really have the flow I usually associate with rap. So the record ultimately didn't impress me enough for 5 stars. Good stuff tho, definitely worth 4.

Buying an Anthology, Retrospective, or Greatest Hits package is a good way to find out if you are going to like a new artist. This is particularly true for those artists who get little or no exposure on the radio. Such is the case with Midnight Syndicate. I had never heard of them before last Halloween, when one of their songs came on - of all places - a cable Television station. It was one of those that plays commercial-free music 24/7. I was so impressed with what I heard that I wrote down the name of the artist. I discovered that Midnight Syndicate had a number of CDs available, and wondered which one to start with. I found this Retrospective and decided it would be a good place to start. "Out Of The Darkness" contains tracks previously released on several of their other recordings. ... Read More:

The day after I bought the US version of this excellent CD, I was lucky enough to find a cheap used copy of the original EU version on the Continentica Records label. It has two songs not available on the American edition (but does not have the US CD tracks "Travel in Time" and "Timeless"). The two import-version-only songs, "Someday" and "Se Meg," are both written by Kate, and are every bit as good as the rest of the songs on the CD. Buying the import for only those two songs, which add up to under 10 minutes, might seem crazy...but won't after you hear them.
