I own about 5 Eno albums and about 4 Harold Budd albums and several other ambient albums by other artists. This album "Ambient 2" is one of my favorites, not only as an Eno album, not only as an Ambient album, but it is one of my favorites music albums overall. I am a huge fan of ambient, and I have wasted a fair amount of money searching for good albums to listen to, so it is always so refreshing and satisfying to stumble upon an ambient album that is really good. It is hard to shop for ambient albums, because there is such a fine line between good ambient, and ambient that sounds like cheesy new-age music, or just not very good sounding ambient.

I was very curious whether Natalie could create another fantastic album and she did not disappoint! This album is a little more upbeat than the previous, but is still relaxing and great to listen to. If you enjoyed her last album, definitely purchase this one.

This CD has already sent me on a quest for another Cantoma type CD. For anyone new to Chill, Lounge or electronica music please buy this one. You will fall in love with the music and devote some of your spare time looking for CD's just like this one.

This is by far one of the most amazing emotional , theatrical, mind blowing experiences Ive ever been through. You have to be very open minded to listen to something as detailed as disc 1 and really learn to appreciate music like this. Quite frankly im left speechless from the sequencing of all effects, strings, orchestra, and the "Glitch Effect" I Cannot even begin to think of what this album could have been like if BT would have collaborated. BT opened a new door a new world for electronic music with "Binary Universe" and Hybrid with This album is showing us & leading the way for future masterpieces.. I would recommend this to any listener. You guys ROCK.

There are simply not enough words in the English language to describe how good this album is.

I had been thinking about buying a Goldfrapp album for years, but never took the leap. I came to them by way of Thievery Corp, Massive Attack, Potishead and Morcheeba, to name a few, but the heavy electronic sounds of albums 2 and 3 made me hesitate. I received notification about their Radio City show and decided to check their website out and was mesmerized by the loop that plays on the site. Clicked over to amazon and immediately downloaded this album. It has not stopped playing since! My classic rock husband is even a fan now.

Just to give a brief summary as to where I stand as a Björk fan before I dive in...I think her first two albums (Debut/Post) are both great records. Yet, she was a little more naive at the time and didn't have as much control creatively. But she was learning. With her next two releases, Homogenic and Vespertine, she began to break away from the poppy sounds of the first two and began to write (she began having more control over the writing), darker, bleaker records. So not only did she begin to define her sound and really become the unique artist she is, but they where also simply brilliant, amazing records. With Medulla she came up with an interesting concept, yet it was simply too hard to listen to in the context of a record. For me atleast.

Ive always loved Bjork and everything shes about, but this has to be the worst cd Ive ever heard of hers. It seems to have little direction and although I enjoy deep, dark depressing tunes, I would'nt listen to this cd unless I was actually killing myself. But again, that might just be me. Her other cds rock the casbah, this one doesn't! Hope you find some enjoyment out of it....
