Ol Dirty Bastard may be the rawest, dirtiest member of Wu-Tang, but his self-titled album may be the most offbeat of all the albums.
There are plenty of dirty lyrics to spare, such as ODB's vivid description of oral sex in "Don't You Know" and a bloody rap in "Raw Hide" where he raps, "I wanna see blood! Whether its period blood/or bustin your ****in' face, I just wanna see blood!" But his rawness is so genuine, with anger at society and a need for dirty pleasure.
There are plenty of other crazy lines, where ODB raps about making a "young ***** wanna drop your drawers" and then sings "Somewhere over the rainbow." The RZA adds his off-kilter beats as well to make this one of the nastiest albums in rap history. Whether ... Read More:

The first place i ever heard Big L spit was on Represent which is the first DITC group album on wax from the timeless Runaway Slave album. I already knew Big L was furious on the mic but didn't really realizes the punchlines this man had. While this whole album may sound like a freestyle to many i see structure, some may think the production is plain but i think its classic. I love the sound and vibe to this album very dark and carries the new york sound which i love. Big L says "I wasn't poor i was po i couldn't afford the o.r." many ill lines like this come up threw out the album. The single Put It On is a true gem and in my opinion one of the best hip hop singles of all time. MVP is a nice commercial hit. 8 iz Enuff is my favorite joint on the whole album. Dope ... Read More:

Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five are essential in the rap world. Starting out with 'party raps' like Freedom and Happy Birthday, they set the whole rap world on edge and made everybody else take notice with the release of The Message. This is an overview of their work. So, if you're just getting started, this is a good place to start.

On track number six, Jay-Z calls himself the "kingpin of the ink pen." That's an incredible one-liner, but why would he say that if he doesn't write down his lyrics? Oh, the complexity of the Jigga Man. "The Black Album" was supposed to be Jay-Z's last album, but, like people who divorce because of two or three trivial problems, many celebrities do not take retiring seriously. Having said that, this album was well received by the public. It did not reach the success of, say, "The Blueprint", but it did very well considering all. I definitely enjoyed this album because of Hov's honest yet effective delivery, the experimental and creative production, the guest appearances (John Legend, Usher, Chrisette Michelle, Beyonce'), and the awesome lyrics.

You have heard most of the beats on it and it wasn't from listening to this cd. It seemed every time I heard a beat I could link it to some rapper in the 90's. People have named a few the only one I didn't see was Warren G. He used the strictly business beat on one of his songs on his second album. I personally don't like 80's rap, its to corny to me. All that check one, two and you don't stop, sucka mc's, fresh in the place to be crap doesn't move me at all. The only 80's rap I messed with is Rakim, NWA, and Public Enemy. These rappers have a more agresive vibe to them, I like that. The 90's hands down is my favorite era of rap, Wu Tang, Dr.Dre, MC eght, Spice One, Deathrow Records period, Celly Cell, Redman, Bone Thugs, Scarface, Group Home, Boot Camp Click, Master P in his ...
